Warung Bintang was one of the positive surprises of our stay in the Candidasa area. The restaurant is located right next to the rice fields and offers beautiful views of the surrounding greenery. Especially on the upper floor, you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while overlooking the tropical landscape. The setting feels authentic, local and refreshingly unpretentious. We tried several dishes, including a vegetable and tofu curry, a fresh papaya salad and some fries for a light snack. Everything was freshly prepared, full of flavor and very reasonably priced for the quality offered. The drinks were also enjoyable. The fresh juices were refreshing and the Bintang beer was served perfectly cold. The service was friendly, attentive and pleasantly relaxed. At no point did we feel rushed and we were able to enjoy both the food and the view at our own pace. If you are looking for an authentic warung in Candidasa with beautiful rice field views, fair prices and good food, Warung Bintang is definitely worth a visit.
View on GoogleWe have had the pleasure of eating here several times during our recent holiday to Candidasa. Always fresh, tasty and delicious food. The staff are all very friendly and happy to modify dishes if asked. My tip, get there early, it tends to get very busy later. Sit upstairs and enjoy the view over the rice paddies. And leave room for dessert. Thank you, we will be back.
View on GoogleCame to try Balinese food. Ordered Ayam Goreng Kecap (Fried chicken with soy souce and vegetable served with steamed rice), Ayam Betutu (Traditional slow baked marinated chicken leg with many kinds of Balinese spices, with steamed rice and vegetable urab), 2 fresh lime juices and Bubur Ketan Hitam (Balinese black rice pudding with coconut milk and palm sugar). Both chicken dishes were good.
View on GoogleFat local warung overlooking rice terraces but in the centre of town. Delicious local food, plenty of it and offering great value for money. I enjoyed a scrumptious in-house ginger beer, lezat! They also offer cooking classes which I’d love to take up next time we are in Candidasa. Pandam pancakes were amazing.
