Dropped by this hidden gem museum on our way from Ubud to Amed. Very interesting and welcoming experience to learn about traditional Bali village life, including life traditions and ceremonies, weaving, silversmith, music, etc and a nice liquor tasting and coffee/tea and snacks. Our guide Wayan was very friendly, cheerful, and knowledgeable, patiently answering many questions from us. It is a village project started 8 yrs ago without government support and all staff here work on volunteer basis (the admission fee you pay goes to maintenance and meals for volunteers) and it also functions as the village's community center. Everything here including the buildings were constructed and maintained by the villagers. Most tourists and guides don't know this place because marketing costs a lot of money in the competitive Bali market. It's well worth visiting and supporting. It is the very embodiment of the Bali culture and life philosophy. We left feeling warm, peaceful and inspired.

We have been wanted to learn a bit more about the Balinese culture and traditions. So, we are so happy to find this place. Our guide took time and patiently explained us the Balinese traditions for the birth, marriage, and funeral rites and ways of living. Even though we kept asking many more extra questions, he kindly explained to us with great details. If you are looking for a place to learn a bit more about the Balinese customs and traditions, highly recommend this place.

Great museum to explore some of the traditional balinese rituals and activities, ina replica of a village. The guide was very friendly and responded to lot of questions. Balinese pancakes and coffee are offered along the tour. 100% recommended. Reachable in scooter.

A very wholesome and intimate learning experience about the Balinese culture and spiritual life. Ron operated by locals and gives a true authentic feeling that shows how life and culture in Bali comes from. I couldn’t recommend this place more. It was a fantastic experience.

Beyonds my expectation and worth a long up&down hill to visit (so be prepared! :) I admire and respect their efforts to reserve treasure heritage and present this warmly to visitor, informative - interactive and connective way. Our guide was dedicated, lead us through the Samsara journey with pride. We asked so many questions, he was patiently disclose one by one. On visit, you also get the chance to visit a true garden with tropical fruits, meet friendly villagers devoted to their craft and enjoy yummy homemade lak lak and coffee right at kitchen. If one thing to improve was the Pratiti reading. I had expected a traditional Balinese fortune teller in ceremonial attire, as mentioned in the advertisement, but this part was not presented. Overall, it’s well worth a visit and highly recommended if you’re seeking to step closer to the soul of Baliness village and their philosophy of life.
