We did a cooking class and ate at Susie’s cafe and can’t recommend it highly enough! We made the most beautiful flavoursome tradition balianese food. Susie’s instructions were easy to follow and she was very patient. The ingredients were so fresh. Susie was very warm and kind, going above and beyond to help us get home. We not only ate the food we cooked (absolutely the best food we have had in any trip we’ve had to Bali over the years) but also ate the food served in the cafe and it was 10/10 🤤 The background of Mt Agung just topped the experience off. I cannot wait to visit Susie cafe again!! 🙏🌺
View on GoogleI had read so many great reviews for this place so knew it would be our first stop for dinner during our Amed stay. Susie is lovely and patient when ordering food and had many recommendations based on what we liked. The place is clean and welcoming and it’s entertaining to watch the gecko along the walls. I had the Tempe rendang and it was so delicious. Our table also enjoyed the chicken satay and crispy spiced duck. The pisang goreng and dadur gulung were also a hit. Looking forward to our cooking class here which was super easy to book. Highly recommend.
View on GoogleJoined Susie for a cooking class, very friendly and welcoming. As a party of 4, we made four different dishes. Absolutely amazing and tasty food. If you are in Amed, it is worth the experience of creating and eating Balinese cuisine. Forgot to take a photo of the soup. Thank you Susie.
View on GoogleWe thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Susie. Everything was arranged by WhatsApp. The location is so peaceful and beautiful. Susie taught 3 of us how to make 4 dishes - the best food of our 3 week trip. If you don't have time for a class, go for a walk and visit the cafe. A great location away from the busy main Street. Thank you Susie.
View on GoogleMy husband and I had a great experience at Susie’s cooking class. The ingredients were so fresh and fragrant! Susie was lovely and guided us effortlessly in making the meal and answered all our questions. We had dishes with tempeh, fish and chicken, but she said she can adjust the menu for vegetarians and vegans and gluten free. We enjoyed the delicious lunch we cooked in her beautiful open air cafe looking out over the rice fields to the mountains. Highly recommended!
