Very disappointing experience in Amed. We came as a group of four. Two friends were sitting on the sunbeds, while my partner and I were at the lounge table facing the beach, eating and drinking. Later, our friends asked us to move to the sunbeds. Before we even sat down, someone who seemed to be the owner/staff shouted at us, “If you want to sit there, you have to pay first.” The way it was said was very rude and unnecessary. My partner had already asked the cashier about 2 beds and was told around IDR 300K. We were still unclear whether IDR 150K was for one bed or one set, as the sunbeds are paired under one umbrella. If it really is IDR 150K per bed, that’s quite expensive, even compared to Canggu. The price wasn’t the main issue — the rude attitude towards customers was. We left and won’t be coming back.

Visited Warung Indah, a beautiful little warung located right on Lipah Beach. The setting is relaxed and scenic, perfect for slowing down and enjoying the sea 🌊 The menu offers a good mix of Western and Asian food and drinks, so it works well whether you’re craving something familiar or local. You can choose to eat at the tables or right on the beach, which makes the experience feel easy and unpretentious. It’s a family-run place, and you can really feel it in the way they treat guests. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful, and happy to assist with holiday activities or local tips ❤️ A lovely spot to eat, hang out, and spend time by the beach in Amed.

Disappointing Experience - a lot of room for Improvement. Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was not what we expected. The service felt very unorganized. It was difficult to get the staff’s attention to place an order and sometimes the service team seemed to disappear for long periods. Just get up on your own, search the staff and order. The food portions were surprisingly small and when ordering larger portions the price increased significantly. The mie goreng in particular lacked flavor and quality, which was disappointing considering the recent price increases. Another inconvenience was that we had to go to the reception area to pay the bill instead of being assisted at the table. While the food might be acceptable if you’re extremely hungry, it doesn’t reflect the standard of quality we were looking for. Overall, the experience felt like the team either hasn’t received proper service training yet or simply wasn’t focused on guest care that day. Hopefully, management will take this feedback as constructive criticism and work to improve both the food quality and service consistency. The price is also too much for what it is.

We came here for lunch and really enjoyed the view and peaceful vibe. The local Indonesian dishes like mie goreng and nasi goreng were tasty and well-balanced. Portions were just right – not too big, not too small – and everything was served with a smile. One fun (and very Bali) detail: there were live chickens wandering around outside – and at one point, one of them even walked into the restaurant. Definitely a reminder that the ingredients are fresh and close by! The only thing we wouldn’t recommend is the sandwich – it’s just soft toast with cold ham and cheese. Not bad, just very basic.

Cold beer, delicious arrack-based drink. It's hard to rate the food, as we only eat spring rolls there once. They were OK. Beautiful view of Lipah Beach. A very pretty place made of bamboo.
