This was the worst stay in our entire 3 weeks Bali travel and sadly we ended our trip with this one. We booked this place solely based on the good reviews and ratings and I was horror struck on finding the reality. The room had a very musty and dank odor along with the bathroom, so much so that we always had to burn incense to keep the smell away. The bedsheets had blood stain on them. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. The facilities in the room were of very cheap quality and without proper maintenance. We also bought some candles cause there wasn’t a single yellow lamp in the room. All the lights - balcony, room, bathroom had only ugly white lights. The view was the only good thing but there are many places in same budget with the same or better view. The worst experience was with the free breakfast. I wished they rather didn’t provide the breakfast and charged lesser. The only fruit they always had was watermelon, portion size was small and it wasn’t made with love or care. They just gave it for the sake of it. It was horrible to say the least. There was no drinking water facility. No water jar to fill our bottles from, no water provided so we ended up buying plastic bottles against our wishes. Once we had entered the kitchen in search of a water filter and the dirty unhygienic condition of the kitchen scared me. I really do not want to sound entitled or rude but I didn’t feel any genuine care from the host. After having such amazing experiences in all of Bali, this was such an unwelcome surprise. Please avoid this stay if you can. The only good thing that happened from this stay is that it forced us to spend all the time outside and just come and sleep at night. Also, there are mosquitoes.

We decided for this accommodation based on good reviews which I don’t understand how this place can have. The view from the room was nice but that’s the only thing that was nice. The room was quite dirty, there was dust everywhere and sheets had stains. The AC didn’t work properly. Also the breakfast were just tiny portions. Don’t recommend this place, there are many cheaper and much better options.

I have an amazing experience staying in this place. The room is spacious, you can see the sea from your bed which was amazing. Quiet place and comfortable. The owner is very lovely and friendly. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Amed!! 5⭐️ for sure!!

A simple and affordable accommodation in Amed, which provides exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms, in a great location for diving, snorkelling, catching a sunset, or any of the many other activities available nearby. A basic breakfast is included which will get your day started (try the honey pancake!), and the charming hosts will help you with anything needed (laundry, taxis/scooters, etc). They recommended a great restaurant nearby called Galanga Garden, which should also be tried. Amed is another one of Bali's gems, with wonderful people and plenty to see and do. We recommend See You Again cafe for a sunset cocktail, Rimba for a fabulous brunch or lunch, the Salt Centre (take some Amed cooperative sea salt home with you) and White Sand diving, if scuba is your thing!

I don't understand how this place has good reviews. We have stayed in many budget accomodation options and don't expect much, just a clean room and somewhere nice to lay your head at night. 1. Worst bed I have slept on in the whole of Bali. Bed slats underneath are about to break, mattress hard as a rock, makes so much noise every time you move slightly, sheets have blood and other stains. 2. Sheets and towels smell like men's deodorant. 3. Dust balls in every corner. The fan is literally caked in dust so when you turn it on the dust goes everywhere. 4. No toilet paper provided. There was maybe 5 squares left on the roll. 5. The bathroom isn't sealed properly, where the roof sits on the wall there is a massive gap. This leads to worms crawling in so there is worms everywhere. Dead ones too. 6. The showers drain is on the opposite side of the bathroom so the entire floor is just wet the whole time and no bath mat is provided to dry feet. 7. There is only a plug point on 1 side of the bed. 8. Massive hole in the bathroom door.
