We’ve been here twice now and both times were amazing. The food is great, the atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful. The view is just breathtaking. The cocktails are very well done. The staff is so friendly! We are new to Bali and the staff helped us practice Indonesian and was super patient with our stumbling over words. We will be back!

Sails remains, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Amed after many visits over the years. It combines an elegant setting with a warm family atmosphere, and the beautiful ocean view adds so much to the experience. On this occasion, my son joined me for dinner, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The mahi-mahi was superb, the Bali curry was fantastic, and the beef was amazing. He also praised the food and service, which have always been among the reasons I keep returning.

Not sure how this restaurant achieved 4.6 stars at the time of this review. Some of the review comments indicated that there is a hit and miss with katamaran food quality. I can't not to concur. I have ordered a rib dish, asked it to be not spicy. They served a dry tasteless rubber. I have complained and initially they have offered some vegetables to enable me to manage to chew the rubber. I rejected that idea. Then they took the dish away and served another one. Which apparently was more recently marinated (didn't make sense but anyway) and it was much better. The portion was very small 4qy of 3x2x1cm pieces probably less than 100gr of meat. If you are reading this and thinking of going to the nearby salza restaurant, don't even bother going there, says my better half. Her dish was better though she had me goreng with 2xprawns. Again the protein qty is at minimum possible hence not matching the charge of the dishes (refer to the attached invoice). Yet her dish was at least enjoyable. Then hoping to have a better luck with sweets. I orders choc banana flan and mango choux, the later one should be called mango shokz. The banana choc had those flavours but still a disappointment. Sorry to see katamaran going down. I had a great experience here years ago... mocktails are still good have to admit.

Everything is OK ! it’s a walking distance from Candi Matahari . Just not order hamburger. 🍔😬

Beautiful setting at the top of the hill. Very friendly and attentive wait staff. The special salad with bacon and cheese is delicious. I recommend the fish in banana leaves and the grilled fish if it’s fresh.
