We had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The ocean view was beautiful, and the atmosphere was spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and good quality. The staff were friendly and attentive. We would come back again.

Beautiful spread local food! A must try during lunch & sunset dinner. PS. Come here when you’re not hungry the food take so long because they’re so attentive to each dish, so you have to come 30-1hr ahead before you’re hungry.

We are staying for one week in Medewi and are sleeping next door at a hotel, however for dinner we came mostly to Gede’s as it offers fresh and tasty food at a fair price. The hotel food nearby isn’t as authentic as here. The portions are a bit smaller, so for two people for dinner, we usually took three meals. For lunch however portions are satisfying. We tried many things from the menu, like typical Nasi and Mie Goreng, but also the Chicken Sweet and Sour and Chicken Teriyaki (all dishes around 30-40k Rp.) as well as one night the 500g lobster with veggies and rice. We can highly recommend! The restaurant is clean and staff really friendly and seem to have fun in the kitchen. What’s a bit annoying are the cats sometimes as they are not afraid to jump on the table while eating. We would recommend everyone staying here to visit this Warung :)

Warung Gede is worth a visit for the location alone: stunning sunset, surfers right in front of you, and a laid-back vibe. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome straight away. The local food we had wasn’t mind-blowing – it’s solid, decent, but nothing to rave about. The prices, though, are unbeatable: a burger with fries (beef or chicken) for 35k IDR is a steal. And to be fair, we haven’t tried everything yet – the lobster and grilled fish we saw on other tables looked seriously good.
