Great and filling food (had the veggie curry) in an absolutely charming location surrounded by rice fields. Great place to watch sunset. I stumbled upon this place on a walk, struck up a warm conversation with the owner, and now make a point to return here when I pass through. I love the walk out here (footpath and motorcycles only). It's about 25 minutes walk from main road. They also rent 3 charming bungalows with pool.

I went out of my way to get to this place because of the great reviews. I'm sorry to say, but it wasn't worth the effort. The location and views were absolutely stunning. But besides that, the service was slow and unpleasant and the food was average. To be fair, there was just one woman taking care of the whole restaurant, and it got pretty busy while I was there. The same woman was taking orders, preparing, serving and taking payment. It's a lot for one person to do, perhaps they need more staff. If you happen to be walking by and need a rest, it's worth stopping in, otherwise, there are other places along this path to stop in.

We stopped for lunch during the amazing trekking across the rice fields. We have been incredibly surprised by the quality of the food: we took nasi goreng and local chicken curry. What-a-lunch!! Fresh, delicious and abundant. What is more: we had a lovely chat with the owner, she explained us many details of Balinese culture with some interesting insights on their way of living. They also have some superb rooms. 100% recommend!

We were lucky to come across this wonderful place to wait out a rain storm. The owner was able to accommodate our dietary choices and was great company! This place combines beautiful scenery with a lovely atmosphere. It gives you a perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre. Would love to return one day! All the best 💪🏻

There are no words to describe the care I received from Pringga and her family. I stayed in Sunset Cafe and Bungalows for over 3 weeks and they made it home. Pringga will help you with everything and she knows everything around around the island. She is a beautiful person and an amazing cook! The view of the sunsets is spectacular! The rooms are spacious and homey, all wood and cozy, with windows all around so you can wash your eyes with green and calmness all day long. By far my favorite location in Ubud - you can walk for 25 min in the beautiful rice path to town, or take a cheap Grab. Easy. I love this place and the people in it and will definitely come back.
