This was a surprise find on my most recent visit to Ubud. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but we stopped in for breakfast one morning because it was close to our accommodation and we didn't have much time. Since then we have come back regularly over the last few months, driving specially from other parts of town because the food has always been consistently good. The flavour, freshness and quality has been excellent every time across meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. From Eggs Benedict, to salad bowls, to burgers, Soul Bites is definitely one of our favourite places to eat for a quality meal. There is also parking for your scooter right out the front!

enjoyed a great late evening dinner here on my first night in ubud. the food was served straight from the kitchen, hot and prompt. and it was reallyyyy good! just a heads up for if you order the tacos like i did. they are priced on the menu in a set of three, so i accidentally ordered way more than i needed. the staff was so understanding and kind, they took the additional plate off of my bill. thank you soul bites!!!

We visited there in August 2025. Everything we ordered was delicious—especially the double burger. It was just as good as what I’ve had in the U.S., definitely among the better burgers I’ve tried. The buns and the seasoning of the meat were perfect. The breakfast burrito (with two scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, roasted onions, bell peppers, tomato salsa, ham, bacon, sausage, and chipotle cream) was also very satisfying—it had been a while since I’d had one. It would have been even better if the salsa were a bit spicier, though. The churros were apparently very tasty as well—my daughter finished them in no time. It was such a great place, and I only wish we could have gone there more than once.

The French toast here is excellent — perfectly done, not too sweet. Paired it with a caramel milkshake, which was rich without being sickly. Good portions, quick service. Already thinking about my next order.

Every time I’m in Ubud, I make a point to eat breakfast at Soul Bites. It’s a calm place to plan your day. I love to start with a beautiful latte. Then depending on my mood and activities, I order a fruit bowl; poached eggs with brisket or the smoked salmon. Everything is delicious.
