Came here curious about the 5 stars reviews - and they’re true. Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. I’d give a 10 stars if I can. It was far better than many overpriced tourist restaurants that lacked flavor. The chicken was incredibly tender, the spices were delicious, and everything tasted homemade. The whole family running the place was so warm and lovely. If you’re looking for authentic local food without overly sauced taste, definitely give this place a try! Also the mom who cook the food was so nice, she happily handed her food to me - It was really wholesome.

We dropped into the Warung for a cool drink on the way to Ubud. With only one item on the daytime food menu, we knew it had to be special… and we were right! Delicious tender chicken betutu, sayur urab, boiled egg, peanuts, rice & a spicy salty saucy soup! All for 30k. What a great surprise to find this new warung, opened only one month ago. The staff was friendly and welcoming! Happy to have online options to pay! We’ll definitely visit again when next in the area 😊

Did not even get time to make a picture, because the food was THAT good! One of the best local dinners we had so far. The Nasi Betutu Ayam is out of this world. You already know its going to be something special when there are only 3 mains on the menu and it did not disappoint at all! The food was just spicy enough, such warm and rich flavours. Even got a complementary soup. And, not unimportant, very cheap and cold Bintangs 😍 After we found out we forgot our cash, the owner lent us his scooter to get it from our villa, without a blink. We will for sure come back, no doubt about that, such lovely and warm people and the most amazing food!!

I wasn’t planning to stop at Aryawira Warung in Ubud. In fact, I was on my way to fling myself through mud on an ATV and question my life choices, but hunger struck with the same urgency as my recurring fear of inadequate travel insurance. So I wandered in, and thank God I did. The place radiates warmth: not the artificial hospitality you get in tourist traps, but the genuine, homemade, “my grandmother will judge you if you don’t eat more” kind of kindness. The owners are lovely, the service is heartfelt, and the whole experience makes you wonder why the rest of the world insists on being so emotionally complicated. The Ayam Betutu is the star; tender, fragrant, deeply spiced, and so good it briefly convinced me I might be capable of inner peace. For a full seven minutes, I believed in spiritual harmony. This warung is perfectly placed on the road to ATV action, which is ideal, because you need something substantial in your stomach before you willingly surrender your safety to a teenager who thinks brakes are a suggestion. Next door, there’s a pickleball or paddleball court, where people who can’t play tennis gather to resolve that trauma by hitting a wiffle ball in earnest. It’s touching, in a vaguely existential sort of way. Aryawira Warung is delicious, local, comforting, and absolutely worth the stop. If you skip it, the universe will judge you. Quietly. But relentlessly.
