When eating out in Ubud I often feel like not being in an authentic restaurant, but this is not the case! Warung Mendez is a little hidden gem that everyone should try Food is amazing and prices are good! Definitely come here!

We loved our dinner at Warung Mendez. I love that you can see the chefs preparing your meal. We had the Bakmi Goreng and Gado Gado. Would recommend and will be back to try some more options 😊

This unassuming warung really makes some rich, home style food from scratch and the food is so nourishing. I’ve eaten here twice this week. I ate the tom yum which was heaped with fresh herbs and aromatics, it was so beautiful. Currently eating the laksa and I am in love. The women in this kitchen are cooking with a lot of love and you can taste it

Second time here and completely satisfied with their food. Last time it was Laksa (really delicious and nutritional) And some Thai salad, also great Now I got huge gado gado and veg curry. And I can't imagine I finished it all🥰🥰🥰 Thanks!!!

Just along the Main Street in the busy village of Penestanen is this traditional Warung. The area has changed dramatically since I was last visiting 12 years ago, but this place still stands, which is a testament to the great food. I had Lumpia basah and it was fresh tasty and delicious- so cheap too! If you want traditional Balinese food while in the area, I recommend here. I also had a mint and lime drink, which was really refreshing.
