The historical heritage demands meticulous upkeep and restoration. In its heyday, this site witnessed numerous pre-wedding photoshoots, portraying its true value. The rationale behind its existence eludes me, yet I trust in the vigilance of governmental oversight. Following extensive renovation, it has seamlessly transitioned into both a tourist attraction and a cultural treasure, emphasizing a commitment to sustainability. It's worth noting that there are three similar iron suspension bridges within the Gianyar Regency—one situated in Kec Blahbatu above the Klenteng, another in Kec Sukawati preceding the entrance to the art market from Denpasar, and the third gracing Ubud. May it garner the attention it rightly deserves.

I‘d like to request the Ubud administration, particularly the Cok family, to make funds available to repair and maintain the historic bridge very shortly, so that visitors do no longer leave this beautiful and traditional place with sad memories.

This suspension bridge was the main means of transport until the current bridge opened in 1980. It was still in use for a while after the current bridge opened, but it is now so dilapidated and dangerous that it is no longer possible to cross it. I miss the days when I used to walk across this bridge. It brings back old memories. I hope that one day it will be restored so that we can all enjoy crossing it again.

It’s a beautiful piece of history but it’s not safe to walk on or walk around anymore. Mother Nature has taken over.

Food is delicious, but service is outstanding, I’ll keep coming and I would highly recommend it.
