We have been to Lala & Lili's Warung many times over the years, however, today will be the last time. We understand Bali and understand that times are not good - but that should never negate good service, good food and good manners. Conveniently 2 times EFTPOS machine "no service" despite the machine being there and lit up. No signs. Nothing.... Older woman watching videos loudly on her phone in the restaurant.... Yes this is a family restaurant..... $5 charged for a small bottle of water.... Not even top end restaurants charge that. We understand we're tourists, but we are not stupid! Having said that...you will not get better handcut/homemade chips - just don't need water with them!

Along a concrete path which starts opposite Alchemy and passes various resorts (Melati Cottages, Gerebig etc) and a short walk through the five fields past a few small shops. A quiet place where you can enjoy a massage, pedicure and along side is a restaurant where you can eat or drink at any time of day. Attractive and really nice local food. Our children love the dishes there. And I had a very homely chicken and mushrooms in a delicious broth full of lovely fresh vegetables perfectly cooked. Great when you want a rest from spicy dishes!

Despite the slow service and unfriendly staff, I used to visit here often because of its peaceful garden view. But sadly, I will not be returning after finding two pieces of plastic bags in my soup. I returned the dishes to the kitchen and respectfully asked if the soup was freshly made and why there was plastic. The staff ignored my question and simply presented the bill, asking me to pay the total amount. The staff then brushed me off with an insincere apology. I also later found out they secretly charge additional if you pay by card. It’s very disappointing how they’re running the business here.

Food was great and service was quick. It would have been a great atmosphere but there was someone lying down at the counter watching videos on their phone very loudly. I asked them to turn it down multiple times but they kept playing them. It ruined the whole experience.
