Visited for lunch and ordered the quesadillas and Cajun Yogurt Chicken tacos. The food was decent, but as a Mexican restaurant, we found it fairly average. It was good, but not a place that really impressed us. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was nice. We went during the day, but many reviews mention the live music and evening atmosphere as one of the best parts of the place. It might be worth visiting later in the day for the full experience.

We ended up visiting La Luz many times during our stay in Ubud because it was located on the same street as our accommodation, and we discovered it completely by chance. After long, tiring days of exploring and trying to decide where to eat, we often found ourselves returning to the cozy atmosphere of La Luz. Everything about this place was wonderful the ambiance, the food, the drinks, the beautiful setting, and especially the staff, who made us feel so welcome every time. It truly became our little home away from home in Ubud. 🩷

Really loved this little gem. Atmosphere was great, location is fab (right amongst a whole bunch of cafe’s, yoga studios, accommodation - honestly the best area to be in my opinion). The food was delicious, I only deducted 1 star as the drinks menu was a little limited and the drink I did order came with what me and my friend joked as a thick barrier of “health” so I couldn’t really get to my drink. All it was is that they went really generous on the mint in my cocktail, but it quite literally formed a 2-3 finger thick barrier so whenever I took a sip I couldn’t really get to my drink. Other than that it was fab. I know now that some nights/days they have live music and I’d love to come back for that!

Excellent food and presentation. We walked up and got seated immediately for a family of 8. We enjoyed our arak White Russians and avocado smash toast! The staff were super friendly and considerate of our nut allergies.

Oh the live music here adds such a lovely touch to the atmosphere, and the service throughout was excellent. We sat at the upper level, which was quiet and perfect after a long day. The food was great, and it was exactly the kind of relaxed stop we needed before heading back to our villa. A really enjoyable and calming experience overall 🫶🏻
