A little over a 10-minute walk along Jl. Raya Ubud, the main street, from Ubud Palace will bring you to ACK Fried Chicken Ubud. Once you get this far from the palace, the prices seem to be a little lower than around the palace area. As the gofood sign suggests, ACK is basically a takeaway shop, but there are also tables and chairs for dine-in customers on the second floor. Why not enjoy some fried chicken while watching the people and traffic passing along Jl. Raya Ubud? The menu consists of various set meals with different combinations, and all of them are very reasonably priced. In fact, they appear to be even cheaper than some of the food stalls in the surrounding area. According to the sign, free Wi-Fi is also available. A password is required, so if you want to use it, just ask the staff. There is also a restroom for customers. So, if you happen to walk this far from the palace, why not take a little break upstairs while enjoying some fried chicken and the view of the busy street below?

Chicken crispy and tasty. Service is good, staff helpful. There is seating upstairs but be careful of small stair. The ayam greprek (fried chicken with spicy hot paste) is yummy!

I came there with no cash in my pockets, just with a card which they don’t accept. One of the staff member, a really kind person named Putu wanted to pay for my food from her own pocket. This is the exact type of staff members you want to pamper. If some manager reads it, please give her a huge raise. The world needs more people like her.

Never come here (specially if you are a tourist). The staff are very rude, they don’t help you understanding their menu. Also the girl that was taking our order, the only one that spoke english, was videocalling her cat (?!?) food is bad, we ordered the special beef burguer and it looked like a slice of dog food. Also they keep so much trash bags that they can be seen from the eating area. Everything was terrible, avoid!

Pros: Perfect location. Can't be better than this. Small but effective shop. Staffs are so agile. Minimum waiting time. Prices are so cheap. Quality is good. Taste nice and different from the West. That's why I like it. A must for a quickie. Have drinks and beer too. Have seating space too. Cons: Nothing.
