So freaking good!! The food (chicken and shrimp - both divine!), the desserts (coconut overload ❤️) but most of all awesome drinks - we had these beautifully looking iced teas/lemonade and they were the most refreshing and tasteful things ever. A meal to remember. Ps. This is one of the pretties interiors that we’ve experienced in Ubud, congrats to the designer on creating a space where you want to enjoy your meal.
View on GoogleThis little eatery was close to our villa and as the other reviews have said is a lovely little gem. We got the spring rolls, crispy pork, Tom yum seafood, pad Thai, fried rice and coconut ice cream. Value for money was 5/5 All of the dishes were hits except the spring roll which were okay. Would recommend to other traveller's who want a bit of selection of South East Asian dishes.
View on GoogleIt was kind of weird—not exactly bad, just... weird. I’m really wondering what my “Nyonya prawns” had to do with actual Nyonya cuisine. Also, they deep-fried the prawns with the shells on, and the shells were so hard they got stuck in my throat and made me cough non-stop. Another dish felt like a mash-up of Thai basil chicken and kung pao chicken… I appreciate that they didn’t use tea bags for the tea. Props for making the dishes fresh, and the staff were really nice. The neon lights on the window are really cute and retro, though half of them weren’t even lit up.
View on GoogleA very lovely intimate space in the heart of Ubud. Comfort food that hits your cravings at the right spot! Generous amount and amazing varieties of menu. My fav dish is the Pad Thai and the fried pork belly. To top it off, please do get the Coconut Ice cream for dessert, its mind blowing! If you feel like having good Asian Fusion food in Ubud, Tan Hua will serve your right. Highly recommended and you wont regret it!!
View on GoogleFound a little fusion eatery mainly focusing on thai and chinese cuisine. They had some interesting menu but we ultimately ordered their most recommended pad thai and crispy pork belly. Foos was alright but not amazing, lacked the authentic flavors we have tasted at other thai restaurants around ubud. Lacked a strong spicy, sweet, salty, sour flavors usually found with thai cuisine. Pork belly is large portion for only 65k, quite crispy and not hard to chew. Pad thai is 3.5/5 and pork belly is 4/5. Prices are very affordable all prices below 75k per dish considering the large portion size . Service is good and the place though quite small still has a lot of charm to it. For those looking for pretty good Asian food, I’m sure you’ll enjoy your overall meal at tan hua .
