Caught the Legong dance on Saturday, 2 May 2026. The performance opened with music which in itself was a masterclass in traditional Balinese music. There were at least 5 segments of different performances ranging from a troupe of 6 dancers to a solo dancer, all of whom were beautifully dressed and performed exquisitely.

View on GoogleWe spent some time wandering around the beautiful palace complex mid morning. It wasn't too crowded at this time and we were able to admire the beautiful architecture and gardens at leisure. Well worth a visit if you're in Ubud.
View on GoogleI highly recommend visiting. This was one of my favorite places in Ubud. It is really inexpensive. They dress you up in traditional clothing. One of the ladies was super sweet and walked around with us and served as a photographer. She was good too. She took some of the best pictures. We came in for a visit, but left with some amazing photos!
View on GoogleInteresting experience! Maam of the royal family welcomed us kindly and put their traditional clothes on us. She also walked us through the palace, showed us a part of their living and took a lot of amazing pictures of us.
