A hidden gem in the heart of Bali. Sacred Rice is absolutely worth the trip, even though it is a little outside central Ubud. Set among its own beautiful rice fields and lush tropical greenery, the place is peaceful, elegant and full of Balinese charm. The welcome was exceptional — so warm and attentive that I truly felt like a princess. The architecture, lights, waterfalls and surrounding rice fields create a magical atmosphere. At the back, the friendly black goats, each with their own name, add an adorable personal touch. The food is excellent: full of flavour, beautifully presented and clearly prepared by a very creative chef. I truly loved this place. If you are in Ubud, make the journey and discover this little jewel — it is absolutely worth it.

We had such a wonderful evening at Sacred Rice in Ubud! We enjoyed the dragon fruit cocktails, tempura prawns, and chicken, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The highlight of the night was watching the Kecak performance. I'd never experienced anything like it before—it was so unique, captivating, and unlike any performance I've seen. It made for a truly memorable evening. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. If you're looking for great food, amazing entertainment, and outstanding hospitality in Ubud, I highly recommend Sacred Rice!

Our second time and it was just as sensational as our first time at Sacred Rice. If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience in Ubud, Sacred Rice is an absolute must visit. We had their 5 course Asian tapas menu and it was flawless from start to finish. Chef, James Tan, is a brilliant culinary talent. Each of the five courses was beautifully delicate, packed with incredible flavor and perfectly executed. You can truly taste the thought and creativity put into every single dish. ​The entire waitstaff was friendly, professional and incredibly attentive. They executed their jobs perfectly and made us feel genuinely welcome. ​ As an added bonus, the live fire dancers provided amazing entertainment, adding a vibrant and thrilling energy to the evening. ​Between the sensational food, the impeccable service and the fantastic entertainment, it was an unforgettable evening. We highly recommend Sacred Rice!

My husband and I were super excited to try Sacred Rice- unfortunately we weren’t wow’d by the food! Nothing special. Not much creativity. Not an elevated food experience as what we hoped it would be. And TINY portions (we were still hungry after we finished). The location is secluded and intimate with only a few tables…
