What a great find! This restaurant was probably the best vegan food I had in Ubud!! The mushroom noodles were insane and so delicious. The noodle texture is perfect! We tried the big plate of dumplings and they were all so good. Also tried the plant based meat noodles which was more dry than the mushroom noodles and was so yum! The tofu was amazing too. Would absolutely recommend if you're vegan or if you're not! The people there were lovely too and it was a nice relaxing atmosphere.
View on GoogleVisited Lao Ba Cha (vegan restaurant ) and ordered the mixed dumpling platter and plant-based meat noodles — both were absolutely fantastic! The mixed dumpling platter was a real highlight. Each piece came in a different coloured wrapper, and every bite offered a unique flavour profile. It's a great way to explore the variety the restaurant has to offer, all in one plate. Paired with the dipping sauces, it was a delightful experience. The plant-based meat noodles were equally impressive. The "meat" was well-seasoned and had a satisfying texture, stir-fried with fresh vegetables like snap peas, carrots, and cauliflower. The sauce was rich and flavourful. A great spot for those who want delicious Asian comfort food without the guilt and it is allium free. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleI’m not a vegetarian / vegan, but the food here is amazing! We orderd Kimchi Noodles, Gong Bao Noodles and mixed dumplings. Portion was generous. I sometimes thinking about it, because it was delicious and felt healthy. The restaurant quite small and intimated, it connected to a tea shop/area, so they offered a free cup of tea for you to taste. The ambience was very peaceful and the service is excellent. Def will come back!🪷🍵✨
View on GoogleOne of the absolute culinary highlights of my time in Bali. Not only because the food and the tea (!!!) were beautifully prepared, with every bite bursting with flavour, but also because I was served by an incredible young lady called Saskia, who made me feel so welcome with her genuine kindness and fantastic sense of humour. It’s incredibly rare to come across this level of warmth and service in hospitality. Saskia is an absolute gem, and so are the wonderful dishes they create at Lao Ba Cha.
