This place is magical. The mask art is incredible and the family lovely. If you’re a curious mind, I def recommend you to visit and let the place inspire you!
View on GoogleHidden gem! The quality of the painted masks here are unique, very different from what you find in neighboring shops. A must visit place for art lovers. No photos allowed to protect their work. The two sisters that greeted were extremely polite and funny, we ended talking and laughing about life for 2 hours and I had the best time. Will definitely come back here whenever I have the chance!
View on GoogleWe just purchased a beautiful handmade carved mask. All the masks in gallery/shop are handmade by the family of twelve. The sisters showing us around were super friendly and told us more about the meanings behind each masks and about their family business. We visited many places to find a mask but none were so great as theirs. Definitely worth having a look and buying and authentic souvenir (or several) that supports the local community and its traditions.
View on GoogleMulti generation artists with amazing pieces to show in the gallery. The three sisters we spoke with were lovely and we ended up walking away with two amazing masks. To top it off they threw out in Some baked goods for the road. Highly recommend if you want original authentic masks for your wall at home
View on GoogleA hidden gem. If you’re lucky enough to be able to stop by, you’ll find hundreds of hand-carved masks, figures, and other pieces in a variety of unique styles—including classic Balinese, and fusion. Some are even intricately painted. Very kind family, who are the main artists that craft these masks, tend this shop. While their policy is generally no photos (to protect their unique creations & style), they’ll gladly allow you to examine and even touch the pieces. Truly exquisite pieces by master carvers who’ve passed their artistic skills from generation to generation. Prices are quite affordable, and a steal considering these are unique, handmade pieces. You may need to blow the dust off these pieces, and peer around high and low to make sure you see everything they have to offer. You won’t be disappointed! P.S., the shopkeepers speak some English
