Warungs are nice homely places where you can find a decent meal for a good price. You might expect a little dirt on the floor, service on Bali time, this place is different. I had incredible service, asking if I had allergies to food, asked my name, introduced herself, the outside table was clean and inviting, only wished I’d check out the back garden eatery first, it is amazing and just outside central Ubud. Well, the food and the beverage outstanding the food quick and perfectly cooked. I don’t know if many people offering low star reviews spend much time in quality restaurants back in their home town of wherever, the service, the food, the place, please keep doing what you are doing, it works. Note: Photo of the food and drink, I’d already started eating, it smelt so go.
View on GoogleWarung Pulau Kelapa Indonesian Cuisine was one of the best dining experiences during my trip. The food was tasty, full of authentic Indonesian flavors, and every dish was freshly prepared. I was impressed by the wide variety of menu options, making it easy for everyone to find something they would like. If you're looking for delicious Indonesian cuisine with plenty of choices, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
View on GoogleThese have to be the best ribs ever! The staff are amazing and so welcoming. Waitress Dwipayani is the greatest 🙏 The restaurant it self has amazing outdoor gardens and ticks off that Bali vibe. Definitely do not pass this magnificent Warung.
View on GoogleAdjacent to our hotel in Ubud, we have been coming here for the past 3 years. For first time diners, make sure you walk to the terrace garden eating area behind the main restaurant. This terrace gives you a serene setting with river flowing bellow, the wood bridge to the garden and vegetables to be enjoyed while sampling the quality menu. Our kids have loved playing on the bridge (very safe) and exploring the paths, plants, insects, geckos and snails that reside in the area. My son is also obsessed with the squirrels 🐿️ that jump tree to tree while you eat under cover. The staff provide the highest level of service asking for allergies and are well informed on the ingredients of each dish which is reassuring for our coeliac party member (GlUtEn FrEe). Our favourites are the nasi goreng and mi goreng, the fried duck 🦆, pork ribs, beef ribs, kangkung vegetable, sates and refreshimg both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. As every meal is freshly prepared, you can ask the staff to customise the dishes for spice levels, ingredient swaps and other requirements which they accommodate so well. This last trip to Ubud we were there on Saturday lunch time after flying in and traveling to our hotel. The roasted pork belly (only available on Saturday after 12pm) was next level with the sambals and vegetables. It was so good I went back for dinner to order the same thing. Tony Chen strongly recommends Warung Pulau Kelapa for top quality experience with an amazing setting and lovely staff.
View on GoogleWe had a nice meal at Pulau Kelapa. It’s more a restaurant for tourists than a warung and prices show it. Staff is nice and the food is good. I loved the sate ayam rica rica which was delicious. A major negative point though is that the restaurant is along a busy and noisy road witch makes the experience less pleasant.
