The original outlet of the legendary Balinese Nasi Ayam Kedewatan. It has been around for decades and is known for its simple yet flavourful nasi campur. The menu is straightforward, and we ordered the all-in plate. It was a comforting, satisfying meal and a great introduction to Balinese flavours. One small downside was that a few pieces of chicken skin had tiny hard bits, which weren’t very pleasant to bite into. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has both indoor and gazebo style seating. The staff were friendly, and overall we had a pleasant meal.

The place itself has a relaxed, classic Balinese vibe that fits well with the Ubud atmosphere — feels comfortable but not too fancy, just good food in a laid-back setting. Prices are reasonable, and there are plenty of seating options. You can choose between regular tables or lesehan (floor seating), which adds a more traditional feel to the dining experience.

Got recommended by a local to come to this restaurant for lunch. Excellent recommendation. Really good authentic chicken rice. Everything tasted perfect, the vegetables, peanuts, rice, and soup. But it is pretty spicy. Affordable, quick, tasty. Highly recommended.

We had lunch in such an outstanding location. We all had the plate with chicken, which was very tasty. If you like spicy, the sambal is great.

Food was spicy for me. Thankful for chips available and cold drinks. Water damage on wall, but expected with heat and rains in the country.
