We had the best chocolate-making workshop with Chef David in Bali. It was such a wonderful experience learning about raw cacao and how chocolate is made from start to finish. We were welcomed with a lovely drink, the food was delicious, and we got to taste 13 different chocolates. We also made our own chocolate bars and finished with the best dessert ever. Chef David was fantastic, and the whole experience was fun, informative, and unforgettable. Highly recommend this workshop to anyone visiting Bali!
View on GoogleWe had an incredible experience at Maison Chocolats. We joined the cacao experience with Chef Davide Patino, and it was truly unique from start to finish. We visited the plantation, harvested cacao ourselves, tasted it in different stages, and learned in a very clear and engaging way how it is transformed into the chef’s creations. What impressed us the most was his innovation : the chocolate made from cacao leaves. We had never seen anything like it before, and it was absolutely delicious. Chef Davide is kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made the whole experience enjoyable and memorable. The lunch was also excellent, with solid vegetarian options available, and the setting is beautiful. there’s even an infinity pool with a stunning view over the rice fields. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a different and meaningful experience beyond the usual activities.
View on GoogleOne of the most unique and memorable experiences we had in Bali was visiting Maison du Chocolat Bali — a true hidden gem for anyone who loves food, culture, and authentic local experiences. The tour, led by the incredible Chef Patino, was both extensive and deeply fascinating. We started at the cocoa plantation, walking through the origins of chocolate itself while learning about the cultivation process, sustainability, and the artistry behind growing high-quality cacao. Chef Patino’s passion is contagious — he transforms what could be a simple visit into a captivating journey from bean to bar. Moving into the chocolate lab was equally impressive. Seeing the craftsmanship, precision, and creativity behind the production gave us a whole new appreciation for chocolate. Every step was explained with care, insight, and genuine enthusiasm, making the experience educational yet incredibly enjoyable. This is not just a tour — it’s a sensory experience that connects nature, culture, and gastronomy in the most beautiful way. Perfect for families, food lovers, and travellers looking for something meaningful and different in Bali. A must-visit experience that truly stands out. Thank you Chef Patino and the Maison du Chocolat team for such an inspiring day.
