Rüsters was one of our favourite spots in Bali. They make their own bread and pastries in-house, and they are by far the best we have found on the island. The quality, flavour, and texture are outstanding, you can really taste the homemade and attention to detail in every bite. The venue itself is beautiful, with plenty of seating options depending on the atmosphere you’re looking for. You can sit indoors, in the garden courtyard, or on the terrace overlooking the rice fields. With several covered areas and outdoor spaces, there’s always a perfect spot to relax. The food is amazing, the coffee is excellent, and the service is warm and attentive. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner or pastries, Rüsters delivers a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back. Market every Sunday as well ;)
View on GoogleSO DISAPPOINTED… I come here very often for pastries, which used to be absolutely delicious - I would even say some of the best in Ubud. That’s why today’s experience was especially disappointing. Around 5pm, we bought several pastries to take away. I asked the waitress which ones were good, and based on her recommendations, I picked a few. Unfortunately, both pastries we tried tasted old and had a really strange taste. I understand that it was towards the end of the day, but I don’t think it’s acceptable to serve old pastries without letting customers know, especially when charging the full price. It’s really sad to write this review because I genuinely used to love this place and recommended it to others. I hope this was just a one-time experience, because I would hate to see the quality decline.
View on GoogleThis place is one of the best food and coffee drinks spots you will find. The pork gyros is delightful. They did give me a rather sad serve of chips on the side compared to other customers served with the same dish 😅 It's okay I'm sure they will be good next time. Would also prefer their coconuts cold. The ambience though is great, the staff are exceptionally well trained and so polite. The surrounding gardens are beautiful. Strong recommendation. Did I mention the chips?
View on GoogleWe stopped for a quick coffee and pastries. They have great seating area, indoor and outdoor. Great coffee, and the pastries are unusual, in a great way. Tried masala latte, pear tart and my first time ever Brunsviger. All were blowing my mind.
View on GoogleA complex rather than a café. Impressive layout and good atmosphere. Today while I silently watched my granddaughters play sport direct live stream for a short time on the internet, I was told it was policy that iPads should only be used upstairs. Laptops and phones were okay in the cafe, but not iPads? The place seems well run and no doubt there’s a good reason for the policy, but it’s a mystery to me. (Mystery now cleared thanks to owner’s painstaking response. My misunderstanding. A good example perhaps for other establishments.)
