There are several waterfalls in the area. This was the first one as I saw that the others were quite crowded. Luckily when I came here, it was empty with some occasional visitors. The place was pretty shaded, so although the afternoon sun was boiling hot, the area here was cool. The water was very cool and refreshing as well. I dipped into the water for a while and then sat on the rock by the riverside to relax. The path was steep and the river current was quite strong, so just be a bit careful when walking. There is a small cafe at the entrance so you can eat or drink before or after you visit the waterfall. The entrance fee is 25k rupiah which is very cheap imo. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here.
View on Google🛵🛵 Sumampan Waterfall 💦💧 About an hours ride from Sanur heading up to and around Gianyar. I’m always on the lookout for magical mystery waterfalls, and this is one of them.🌈💙 It’s a pretty easy short walk along a path & down some stairs that takes you to the waterfall. Along the way you will see lots of gorgeous rock carvings lining the walls & the riverbeds. A rope can take you from one side of the river across to under the waterfall. There are also warungs near the entrance for a drink or a snack afterwards. Well worth a visit, and another one off the beaten track, not visited by the “hoards”. 🤳📸 🛵🛵
View on GoogleAmazing place! My partner and I were the only ones here!!! Not gonna say to much as I wouldn't want to spoil it's natural beauty. Lovely local family guide you to the waterfall. * Warning! Very steep steps! * Beautiful place! 🌴🌴🌴🌊❤️
View on GooglePretty spot for a cool off. 7 minutes walk down on path through light jungle then a sturdy concrete stairway with steel railing down the side of a cliff face which is quite steep and narrow. What’s really cool about this place is that although blended into the lush jungle, the waterfall itself is man made - formed by an irrigation network created by local rice farmers. Carvings were added by a local artist to enhance the area. There’s a rope to help get across to the waterfall. You can also use this rope to help pull yourself up once on the waterfall side. When we were there our feet could touch the bottom and there was moderately strong current. We were able to explore upstream, wading through the water. No crowds here - only about 6-8 other people here during our visit. Unfortunately there is some litter on the banks and pathway. There are warungs at the entrance for refreshing drink or snack after the more challenging return walk.
View on GoogleMy kids had a ball at this tranquil waterfall place. The walk to the waterfall on itself is a nice adventure with lots of steps to count, spot some ducks and a cow on a way. Just be weary of a steps as some of them might be a bit tricky for kids and I suggest they hold on to the rail at all times.
