Wow, very cool place to visit in ubud. Highly underrated if you are interested in history. Archaeology artefacts from all over bali. Welcoming staff, no entrance fee, toilet facilities and good parking. Easy access for older people, 2 steps into rooms sectioned into different material types such as clay, bone, metal etc. Interpretative signs in English and balinese. No selling, or tourists sadly. Definitely worth visiting when in ubud.

Went there today after a walk around the temples nearby and it was a good way to learn a bit more of the local history and culture. If you're keen to understand a bit more it please do this at the beginning of your trip and use it as a starter point to go to the following places of interest. I went there by myself, was wondering by around ready to use my translator to understand the descriptions of the different pieces when Made (a very good host/guide from the museum) started showing me around and giving me some proper guidance of the place, as well as answering all my questions. Free entry.

Free entry to everyone. The museum staffs is kind to guide us from start to finish and no tip is accepted. That’s their policy. The compound is clean and organised. Motorbike parking is covered and free too. Totally recommended tourist to come here. Just a short ride from Ubud center.

Well preserved collection and knowledgeable tour guide! It’s free and very interesting to see so many fun facts about prehistoric life in Bali (which rarely discussed). Some of the rooms were still dirty due to renovation (Nov 2025) but still it’s very calming due to surrounding nature.
