Nestled along Jalan Tamblingan in Sanur, Bali, we stumbled upon White Orchid - The Taste of Asia after indulging in a late afternoon massage and pedicure. The charming ambiance drew us in, perfectly aligning with our craving for a light Asian meal. The food at White Orchid was delightful, offering a variety of dishes that tantalized our taste buds. However, the experience was somewhat marred by the loud music, making conversation a challenge. We found ourselves raising our voices just to communicate, which detracted from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Service was a bit hit-or-miss. Our server appeared to be new and struggled with taking our orders accurately. When I requested her to recite our order for confirmation, one dish was unexpectedly duplicated. Thankfully, a more experienced male staff member stepped in and efficiently managed our service from that point on, ensuring our full order was served without further hiccups. In summary, our experience at White Orchid was decent but had room for improvement. While the food was great and the location charming, the loud music and initial service issues left us hoping for a smoother dining experience. Still, the restaurant has potential, and we might consider giving it another try in the future.

Great spot to people watch with a happy hour cocktail 60,000rph, street view. Lunch time special, 39,000rph chicken satay. My favourite, vegetarian Laksa at 69,000rph. Staff were friendly, live music added atmosphere in the evenings. Think busking, live solo artist which interacts with the customers. Dinning and drinking out in Bali is not cheap like it used to be. This place is cheap and as a Foodie, it’s great value for what you get.

Delicious breakfast and incredible value. Big Breaky around 50K and awesome Nasi Goreng for 35K. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially our amazing waitress Okta. Nice shaded garden with fans and multiple seating options (table, bench, booths).

Everything was absolutely delicious! The food was amazing, and the whole atmosphere made the experience even better. Great music, a beautiful and welcoming environment, and all the staff were so friendly and attentive. A special mention to Ajik Dewa, who was wonderful and made our experience even better with his friendly and attentive service. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it. We’ll be back! 😊✨
