Indian in name and cuisine, but the experience didn’t quite meet expectations. While the food had good spices and authentic Indian flavors, it was excessively spicy, which overpowered the taste of the dishes rather than enhancing them. The host and most of the staff were polite, although the waitress who took our order seemed like she was having a bad day. She wasn’t rude, but she didn’t come across as particularly welcoming either. In simple terms, there are probably better Indian dining options in Bali. One thing that stood out was that the host offered us a wine menu despite my wife wearing a hijab, making it quite obvious that we are Muslims. While this may have been a standard practice, a little more attentiveness to guests’ backgrounds would have made the experience feel more thoughtful.

Wow...what a great experience & such a delight. Having a great Indian restaurant in the middle of busy Sanur serving up delectable dishes for those wanting a change from Indonesia food certainly works here. Chowk certainly packs a punch on all levels & Ghana the maitre'd is an asset to this restaurant with his bubbly personality & knowledge. The food is on another level & all credit to the Indian chef 👌 ....top notch food & definately try the chicken Byriani if you get the opportunity.

Ghana was our waiter for the night and made it a very pleasent dining experience. He was very honest about how spicy levels and amount of food as well as presentation, we found this very helpful. We loved all our starters and main dishes. Had good drinks but were too full to get deserts. Thank you for this nice family dinner.

Such a lovely place to visit. Food was very tasty and so we over ordered! The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. Special thanks to my new friend Ganang who went out of this way to make us laugh, feel welcomed and we'll attended to. Highly recommend!

this place was so good! we only have 2 days left of our trip and said we would do lunch here both days. service was amazing, they really care and want you to have a good experience. the food, so yummy. aesthetic to look at, even better to eat. the rum and rouge (purple drink) was so good! and the atmosphere of the restaurant was a 10/10. excited to recommend this place in Sanur!
