Fabulous beach side restaurant. The restaurant straddles the Sanur Beach promenade. The main restaurant is on the inside of the promenade and is where the toilets are. Beach side there's a large shaded deck with views over the bay, it's a great location. The food menu is a mix of Indonesian and Western food, there really is something for everyone. There's a large drinks menu, including mocktails. They have a day long happy hour. Well worth a visit.

We have been to La Playa Cafe a few times now and the quality is very consistent. We can’t say the food is extraordinary, but for the price, it is good value. ​The prices sit right in the middle between the local warungs and the western restaurants in the area. The view is perfect, which is a huge draw. However, the service definitely could be friendlier; a few smiles would be a good addition to the waitress routines. Overall, it is a solid spot.

We ate here 3 times while in Sanur for a week! Great food choices, good service and friendly staff. It was a nice cool spot to enjoy lunch with our feet on the sand 😍

I had heard a lot about Sanur, so I was curious to finally visit it. People often describe it as beautiful and peaceful, and they were absolutely right. I chose La Playa Cafe mainly because of its stunning beachfront location. Having dinner under the moonlight with the sea reflecting like a silver mirror created an unforgettable atmosphere. I ordered the tuna steak and chicken curry. The tuna steak was cooked exactly medium-rare as requested—fresh, juicy, and absolutely delicious. The chicken curry was also excellent, full of flavor and perfectly paired with rice. They also offer a great selection of cocktails. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and the magical seaside setting made this a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our dinner at La Playa Café during our stay in Sanur. As it was quite windy on the evening we visited, we chose to sit under the beautiful wooden pavilion rather than on the beachfront, and it turned out to be a lovely, relaxed setting. We ordered the Balinese Rijsttafel for Two, which was a fantastic way to experience a variety of traditional Balinese flavours. The meal was beautifully presented, with a selection of small dishes served in banana leaf bowls, including satay, pepes ikan (fish wrapped in banana leaf), lawar chicken, chicken satay, spicy squid, sweet and sour tofu, Balinese vegetables, crackers and rice. It was perfect for sharing and gave us the opportunity to try lots of different dishes in one meal. To complete the experience, we enjoyed a cocktail each and, of course, had to try a cold Bintang beer while we were in Bali! The food was delicious, the prices represented excellent value for money, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. If you're looking for an authentic Balinese dining experience in a lovely beachfront location, La Playa Café is well worth a visit.
