The food was so-so, but the fresh coconut is recommended. The portion was huge, but most of the dishes that I ordered were quite tasteless (depends on personal preference). The service was good, helpful, and friendly. The view was also good, overlooking the sandy beach.

Great location at the beach. Food was good (Tuna medium rare was excellent!). We ordered cocktails and then found out Happy Hour started only 2 minutes later. We did not say anything, but they applied Happy Hour pricing anyway.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, my husband and I used to come here every time we came to Sanur. It was our favorite restaurant because we could eat delicious seafood and local food on the beach at reasonable prices. We re-visited here in January 2024 after a long time since the pandemic. The fresh fruit juice and food were all delicious as usual, and the service was pleasant and reasonable, so we came here 3 times during our 8 nights stay in Sanur. The owner used to work in Japan so the Japanese food is also delicious. The toilet was clean, which was extra nice for us as we were with our 4-year daughter this time. This time we ordered the first time the prawn tempura udon and curry udon, which were very tasty. I highly recommend Izakaya!

Stopped in for a drink (large Bintang) and appetizers (tuna sashimi and a salmon roll, see pics) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was good, though not mind blowing. Probably a 4.5, not a 5...but closer to a 5 than a 4, IMHO. Service was very good/efficient, and the atmosphere (on the beach, full moon, live music, etc) was wonderful. Prices were very reasonable. Didn't try any main courses, but the menu and food I saw around me looked delicious...Would definitely recommend and go back for more.

Great place to always stop for a feed or cool refreshment whilst peacefully overlooking the water. Staff are great, always friendly and helpful and speak very good English. Unbeatable value for quality tasty food choices, their extensive menu caters for all tastes and dietary requirements. Highly recommend Izakaya to anyone visiting Sanur.
