Mixed feelings about Hanoi by MeVui. The food itself was genuinely good and flavorful; the pho and spring rolls were tasty. However, the service was very poor and disorganized. We were brought the wrong dishes twice, and my partner’s meal arrived long after I had already finished mine. Having to eat completely out of sync ruined what should have been a nice dinner together. The floor service and timing need serious improvement.

We had an amazing experience at Hanoi by MeVui in Sanur. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted incredibly authentic (if not better). We especially loved the banh mi, pho and nem noung, every dish was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. The staff were so kind, welcoming and lovely throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. The Vietnamese drip coffee was also a standout and definitely a must-try. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in Sanur. Also in the evenings they open up into the pool deck which includes beautiful seating options.

The assorted mushroom pho was fantastic, one of the best pho I've had. The roll was also good. The staffs are helpful and friendly, and the vibe of the place is nice. Good for me time and some quiet thinking moments.

A simple, well-executed Vietnamese lunch spot that’s become a bit of a standing tradition during our time in Sanur. What stands out is the freshness — clean flavours, well-balanced, and consistently prepared. It’s not trying to overcomplicate things, which works in its favour. We tend to go straight for the Vietnamese Platter 101 — Goi Cuon (shrimp & pork), Cha Gio (chicken), Nem Nuong (pork), and Chao Tom (shrimp). At around IDR 115,000, it’s a well-priced option that comfortably works for one, or two if you’re after a lighter lunch. The setting is open and airy, but it does come with the trade-off of no air conditioning. On hotter days it can feel a little warm — although the breeze does help. There’s also a nice sense of energy here. The team clearly enjoy working together, and you’ll often catch light, easy banter between staff — a small detail, but one that adds to the overall feel of the place. It’s a mix of locals and international visitors, which gives it a balanced, unforced atmosphere. Best suited for a relaxed lunch rather than a long, lingering meal. If you’re nearby, it’s an easy walk — we usually head south along the beachfront past the larger resorts from central Sanur, then cut through near Costa - Beach Restaurant. A good way to build it into the day rather than making it a standalone trip. Not a destination venue in the traditional sense — but reliable, well-priced, and somewhere we make a point of returning to each stay.

We visited two times in August 2025, and everything we ordered was delicious.
We especially recommend the lime squash, pho Hanoi (beef), grilled pork banh mi, and fresh vegetable spring rolls.
The flan cake was also excellent—the custard was rich and smooth, like a high-quality French-style pudding.
This is the kind of Vietnamese restaurant we’d gladly take a taxi to visit.
We were lucky it was within walking distance from our hotel.
Highly recommended!
