We ate here today. The food was good and the flavors were enjoyable. However, considering the prices, we expected a bit more in terms of portion size and overall value. The service was friendly, but it took quite a while for our food to arrive. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, but there is definitely room for improvement.
View on GoogleYeah what a find this place was over in Sanur Bali. I made my way over here today. Man this is a great area. I really like it a lot. This is an authentic Japanese sushi place and not just sushi man. What a big menu of food they had and I got exactly what I was looking for. Clams and sushi gee whiz let me give you a little preview of this place. But if you get it over here make sure you laying there. No disappointment here for sure.
View on GoogleThe food was extremely overpriced, while both the quality and portion sizes were terrible. We ordered a sushi platter, and the tamagoyaki in it smelled spoiled. My companion spit most of it immediately after eating it, but later that same night he started vomiting again. I ordered snapper and tuna belly sushi. The tuna was nothing but tough sinew with virtually NO FAT at all. The snapper was falling apart and clearly not fresh. The noodle dishes were just as bad, we ordered two different kinds, and both had a very strange taste. The two of us spent around 600k in total, yet neither of us was full, and we both left extremely disappointed. We had to order McDonald's delivery to our hotel so we wouldn't have to go to bed starving
View on GoogleLook, I think the food is great and better value than kuu, but their whisky and gin selection is shockingly bad, and kuu's range of whisky is better than the minimum you would expect at any self-respecting japanese restaurant. So, pre-fuel on tenjaku or taketsuru from the excellent bottle shop next door, then enjoy good value food and atmosphere afterwards here. The sake selection is good though.
View on GoogleTaste of the food is overall delicious but it took ages to get drinks and then food delivered to our table. Dishes were missing, some of us had already finished while others were still hungry. The staff is nice but you need to have lots of patience. At least we could enjoy the live music. Furthermore the dishes were really small, I've never seen such tiny Maki Sushi. To leave the reataurant without being hungry you have to spend a lot of money, e.g. for a small bowl of plain rice with a hand full of pork slices they charge 150k.
