Fantastic dinner at Surya in Sanur! We had a truly wonderful dinner here tonight. The fresh young coconut was fantastic, but the absolute highlight of the main course was the Beef Rendang. I’ve eaten Rendang many times in Indonesia – in Ubud, Tampaksiring, Mataram and elsewhere – and I can honestly say that this was one of the best Rendangs I’ve had so far. The meat was beautifully tender, the sauce was rich, aromatic and perfectly balanced. Absolutely delicious! The vegetables were another pleasant surprise: freshly prepared à la minute, perfectly cooked with a little bite left and very nicely seasoned. You could really taste the freshness and care in the preparation. And then came the cheesecake with strawberry sauce – an incredible finish. Creamy, fresh and accompanied by a fantastic crust with beautiful notes of cinnamon and vanilla. A perfect ending to the meal. But it wasn’t only the food that impressed us. The service was outstanding as well – attentive without being intrusive, extremely friendly, thoughtful and genuinely welcoming. We felt very well looked after throughout the entire evening, and that made the experience even more enjoyable. Fresh coconut, outstanding Rendang, beautifully prepared vegetables, an unforgettable cheesecake and excellent service – a fantastic overall experience from beginning to end. We can wholeheartedly recommend Surya and would happily come back. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful evening!

We had an amazing dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the seafood, which was incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly. Every dish was full of flavor and exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Wayan, who provided outstanding service throughout our visit. He was very helpful, accommodating, and listened carefully to all of our food requests. His attention to detail and friendly attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated his effort in making sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. If you’re visiting, you must try their seafood👌🏻 It’s some of the best we’ve had! Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely come back, especially since it’s just a short walking distance from our hotel, making it a very convenient choice. Highly recommended!

Lovely restaurant in a great location on Mertasari beach serving excellent food! My family and I went to Surya Lagoon Restaurant while they were on holiday in Bali. While on a morning walk, I had stopped to check the menu, and upon realising there was a mixture of Indonesian and Western food, we decided to meet up there with friends for dinner. The restaurant is located right on the beach front with extensive parking at the front. The facilities are brilliant, and watching the kites on the beach in the evening while having your dinner is a real treat. The menu is fantastic, an extremely good mixture of Indonesian and Western food, so there are options for everyone. All of the food was delicious when we had dinner there, and we decided to go back a second time! The staff are also all exceptional, lovely people. Service is brilliant and they are very attentive. I will definitely be returning here, and would definitely recommend Surya Lagoon Restaurant to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Sanur

Gado gado very yummy - I phrased it “proper” because it’s definitely one of the nicer ones I’ve had. The service is speedy and sooo friendly. Big open space by the water. Cocktail - pina colada was small in my opinion so over priced. Wouldn’t come back, but did enjoy the experience. I have to leave a 1 star review because they give plastic straws that write #iamnotplastic Naughty naughty …
