I had a great experience at Genius Café. The prawns were absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The tapas were also really good, nicely presented and great for sharing. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, especially with the beach setting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy good food and unwind. Definitely a place worth visiting in Sanur.

Okay cafe on the quieter end of Sanur. Had heard it was THE cafe to visit in Sanur. While it was pleasant it didn't live up to THAT expectation. My tumeric latte was bland , I asked for honey ( to add some flavour) and by the time it arrived my drink was , well , cool to warmish. The GF pancakes are no longer GF, however the GF banana bread made up for that . Presentation was lacking though.. not even any butter offered and brought out on a saucer. The place is looking a bit dilapidated, staff friendly as was the squirrel. Glad I came but in no hurry to return.

We visited this restaurant many times when we stayed in Sanur. Very good and healthy food, everything we had from the menu was tasty and we would recommend it. Servise was kind. The whole vibe by the beach was incredible! Thank you!

A great bar with an exceptionally good breakfast and a wide selection of vegan dishes. Friendly service from Desy and a fantastic view right on the beach. They cater to all special requests and are particularly suitable for families with children. We’ll be back.

It feels like the staff don’t really care about their customers—more like ‘just another foreigner.’ I ordered a café latte, and it came with no foam and a very watery taste, as if no one would notice. I asked for it to be changed, and to their credit, they did replace it. But why not make it properly from the beginning? We ordered oatmeal porridge, but what we received was more like oatmeal soup (see the video). I also asked for a teaspoon, but was given a takeaway spoon instead, with the explanation that ‘at the moment, we don’t have teaspoons’—even though there were only 3–4 occupied tables in the café. That was quite surprising. I was already disappointed with coffee situation and didn’t want to ask and ask for something again and again. We gave this cafe one more chance and came here the other day. We ordered a smoothie. Sadly, banana and dragon fruit wasn’t blended until fully, there were fruit chunks… The food is okay, but the prices are far too high compared to other places in Sanur, where you can enjoy better service and a cleaner environment with the same, lower or a bit higher price (for example: Costa, Warung Pati Pati, Blend Cafe, Daily Baguette Sanur, Pesso Cafe, Tree Bar). It feels like all the time we need to be vigilant: is the table clean? Are the pillows clean? Is coffee good made? Is food good made? Always ask for attention to order or ask for something. The café has potential, but it needs a more professional approach to staff training, cleanliness, and pricing. I would recommend investing more time and effort into these areas. The place needs people who love to work in this place and really care for this place🙏 I read other reviews and what I saw from the cafe answers is always something like - we hope that you’ll give us another chance. Or - we are working on this or that. But it feels that nothing is changing and reviews are also something that means nothing. Sorry for my thoughts, but sometimes we need that little kick for something to change🙏 Best of luck building the quality!
