This was my second visit. The last time about 9 years ago. Paid for the full 3 waterfalls guided trip. Included the motorbike transport to the top of the valley near the new restaurant. That was something new. The stairs were as I remember them. Steep but quite safe with handholds most of the way. The view was better than before as the valley has become very full with lush tropical growth. Stunning falls and we did take extra shoes that allowed us to get wet without problems. Would do it again. As a note everyone pays the fees even locals. My wife is Balinese and did try a local price but no difference. This helps with keep the area well Looked after

😍 Absolutely breathtaking! Sekumpul Waterfall was easily one of the highlights of our Bali trip. The waterfalls are stunning, seeing them up close and swimming in them is well worth the trek. Pace yourself, because it's fefinitely leg day, but 100% worth it. Our guide, Kadek, was friendly, knowledgeable, a great photographer, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. We also paid extra for the scooter ride up and down, which I would definitely recommend if you want to save your legs after the hike! If you're visiting Bali and enjoy nature, this is a must see.

We paid for the long tour. In my opinion, the extra 100k compared to the medium package isn't really worth it because it was the least impressive of the three waterfalls. However, considering the long journey to get here (even coming from Munduk 1 hour 15 min), it's okay to pay if you don't plan on visiting any other waterfalls nearby. Overall, the waterfalls are stunning and definitely worth the steep price (250k IDR/person). A guide isn't needed for navigation, but hiring one is mandatory—at least they take good pictures for you! If you have a scooter, you can ride all the way down near the restaurant. Be aware that the path doesn't look like a normal road and is extremely narrow, so only do it if you're a confident rider. If you arrive by car, you can pay a local to ride you down to the restaurant. I’d recommend doing this—it’s a long walk, and you'll want to save your energy for the waterfalls.

I visited the waterfalls with my wife and I have to say that this was one of the best experiences I have had on Bali (so far). This place is truly beautiful and I cannot stress that enough—wild, pure, with crystal clear water pouring from the jungle from all sides as you wander in awe beneath it. There are three waterfalls: Sekumpul “main” waterfall, Fiji waterfall, and Hidden waterfall. Each one has its unique beauty and I recommend visiting them all. The main waterfall is the tallest and most visually impressive; the Fiji is a little bit smaller, separated into 3-4 streams; the Hidden one was the most stunning for me personally, because I took a swim alone in the pool beneath it. I cannot overstate how wild it is for a European like me, who goes to a botanical garden and thinks he is in the jungle. It was a profound experience. Some practical advice: You will get wet. Obviously if you go swimming—but also if you simply go near the falls. The water pours down vehemently and diffuses into the air rushing towards you. After a few minutes you will feel like you jumped in, soaking wet. I recommend bringing a swimsuit or something to change into. It is also important to take shoes that can get wet, stay on your feet, and are comfortable, because the rocks there are very slippery; good footing lets you traverse the terrain much more smoothly—I would personally avoid flip flops, though I see many people wearing them. You will also often walk at least knee-deep in the water, so take that into account when choosing your clothes. Bring some water too and you’re good to go. Some side notes. I hadn’t read any reviews before we went. I was kind of surprised by some of the one-star ones, and I find them funny. There is no danger there; if you have common sense, and you are not as dumb as a bag of hammers, you will be fine. We did have a guide, and we paid 250k per person—but I did not mind; she was very polite, kind and patient, helped us take photos/videos, cared about our safety, and I generally enjoyed her company. Also, where do you not pay? But definitely BE CAREFUL—on the way to the official site there ARE indeed many scammers trying to sell you tickets. So you have to ride all the way to the actual entrance. Overall, easily one of the best experiences we’ve had in Bali.

Biggest waterfall in Bali and breathtaking to witness. The tour guides couldn’t be more helpful although don’t expect huge amounts of information - very willing to answers questions though and very kind. Entrance ticket at the carpark, then walk in with a guide, choose a restaurant for lunch and walk down to the falls (Medium Tour - 30 minute round trip) or include the other fall (Long Tour) Heavy rain came when we were there which meant for spectacular falls but only the ability to walk as far as the river.
