As a local from Jakarta, I honestly didn’t expect to find a place this good. If you’re taking the ferry from Banyuwangi to Bali (or the other way around), Warung Pencar Buleleng Barat is definitely worth stopping at. The seafood is super fresh, locally caught, and cooked simply so you can really taste the quality. Every main dish comes with a tray of rice, authentic Balinese sambal, fish soup, fresh bean sprouts, and bawang merah sambal, so it feels like a complete meal. They even serve complimentary kerupuk and end your meal with free chocolate pudding, which was a really nice surprise. The prices are very affordable, especially for the generous portions, and the breezy ocean view makes the whole experience even better. It’s one of those places that feels like a hidden gem, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone. Especially for tourists looking for an authentic Balinese seafood spot away from the usual crowds.
View on GoogleIt took a pretty long time before we got the menu and even longer before we had our food. I had the shrimp, they were bland and didn't taste good or fresh at all. My son had the duck, it was dry and not good. In the evening he got diarrhea. The warung is at the beach and the view is great but unfortunately the food wasn't.
View on GoogleIf you're heading to West Bali, you know that 3-hour drive is no joke! Warung Pencar is my go-to spot to pull over and actually recharge. The Vibe The atmosphere here is spot on—you’re right across from the Bali Strait, and you can even see the western peninsula while you eat. If you can time your trip to hit this place around sunset, do it. The views are incredible. The Food I grabbed the grilled fish and crunchy squid, washed down with a fresh young coconut with plenty of ice. Everything was solid. Small touches that made the difference: They give you kerupuk (crackers) as a side right away. Before we left, they even surprised us with two free puddings to freshen up. Definitely a solid 10/10 pitstop if you need a break from the road. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleSmall warning inside the sea. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, the parking area is big, there are not many tables and they tend to fill up quickly, many locals and some foreigners. The fish is super fresh, they'll bring you the daily catches on a tray if you ask, and cooked to perfection. If you don't want any sauce on it while grilling, just ask "original". Very good also the side vegetables. Definitely not to miss if you're near.
View on GoogleThe best seafood restaurant in the area. I fell in love with their fish head soup, while my wife always enjoys their grilled fish. We went here for three days in a row to get our lunches and dinner. Trust me, in West Buleleng, this restaurant is unbeatable. Huge bonuses, their service was top notch and prices were affordable.
