i love this place so much, they have a pretty infinity pool. their food also amazing and the portion was so big. I order the royal burger or something and I am fall in love with it. I spotted some deer and racoon visiting the garden near the restaurant. but beware with the monkey, they like to stole your food. recommend to sit inside the restaurant, not at the deck area.

Lumpia were mostly dough with some cucumber sticks in the sweet and sour sauce. Nasi Goreng Kampung was the biggest disappointment. For an establishment like this I didn't expect it to be greasy and flabourless with 5 grams of chicken slivers and the tiniest Saté sticks. No pickles just 3 blocks of cucumber and 2 blocks of carrot. The sambal matah and the peanut sauce were good. I had to ask them to take the Nasi off the bill as they didn't apologise and suggest this themselves, as I didn't eat it after 1 small spoon. Tuya was an excellent host and tried to make up for it. The views are stunning. Really bad road to the restaurant, recommend to NOT take the scooter.

Love the view and the ambiance. Smell the sea breeze. The infinity swimming pool, makes this a good place to spend an easy afternoon if you are staying in the national park. Very kind staff Service is ok Just strange these days waiter/s never take note of the order, memorizing it, scared of an error order 😞 We like the second day order, fettuccini and the roasted chicken but unfortunately, our Nasi goreng and Mie goreng were too greasy. We enjoy the most is our desserts. Recommended to visit and enjoy their pool with an amazing view.

Lovely place, we visited multiple times as we stayed in ecolodge and the dining options there are limited. The infinity pool is gorgeous, the hill views are fantastic, you can access the beach, and you can even spot monkeys and deers here. 10/10 for atmosphere and place. Unfortunately the food is disappointing. In total over 2 visits we ordered: roasted chicken, rendang, salmon teriyaki, and burger. Only the burger and rendang tasted okay. The chicken sauce is bland, the salmon teriyaki as well. Not to mention the small portion sizes for the price. It also annoys me the amount of balinese or indonesian menus available for selection. Hopefully the chefs can rethink the menu and really showcase what this place has to offer

Octagon Restaurant Menjangan Bali February 2026 Pan-seared Barramundi for 185 K, Satay Selection for 135 K, and Thai Beef Salad for 115 K IDR++ The barramundi was perfectly cooked - the meat is so soft and warm while the skin had just the right amount of crispiness to contrast the soft meat and mash. Then comes the amazing scallops which got really good browning without becoming tough - they melt in your mouth and provides a splash of umami which mixes so well with the soft mash. The mashed potatoes and white sauce is also top notch - i usually don't really like white sauce, but this one really takes the cake in complementing the barramundi without overpowering it. The mash itself is a bit on the lighter side, which makes sense as to not steal the spotlight from the fish and seafood, truly the top 10 of mashed potatoes in Indonesia for me. The thai beef salad really is a cut above the rest in terms of value for money - fresh greens, snappy peppers, and appropriate tanginess from the dressing really mixes with the perfectly tender beef slices. Sadly the satay selection feels a bit underwhelming compared to the other two dishes due to it being mostly mid. Don't get me wrong, everything is still very well made, especially the sauces and condiments. I guess satays from restaurants tend to be too manicured compared to roadside stalls... give me that smokiness and charring yo! The 100 K IDR++ cocktails are also great value - especially the Lemongrass Refresher. The 135 K jungle juice cocktail isn't bad, but value wise I'd take the former. All in all, this is a great value place to eat - especially with their beautiful seaside view. It is a bit out of the way from most Bali locations, but it's a just a slight detour (which you definitely should take) if you're crossing from Banyuwangi to Bali. #greatvalue #goodfood #in #bali #indonesia
