We spent two days at Karang Sari Guesthouse. The guesthouse feels very authentic and intimate. It is surrounded by shops for locals, which is a breath of fresh air. ||It’s the perfect place for a round trip on foot to the waterfalls and the rice fields (3-4 hours and 1.5 hours respectively).||The staff is really helpful and will give you a map of things to see and do around the guesthouse, even find you a driver. ||The room is very charming with big windows with view on a beautiful little garden. ||The massages are really good as well. I like a firm massage and it was just right. ||Extra points for the restaurant, where the chef makes amazing Indonesian and Balinese food. We loved every dish we tried! There is also western food on the menu such as pasta, pizza and burgers but we unfortunately haven’t had the time to try everything!||Would absolutely recommend.

Dropped in here twice for a drink and bite to eat while travelling around the area, didn’t stay in the guesthouse. Great view while eating, and the owners are very pleasant. Only drawback is the property is on the main road - those locals on scooters can be noisy ☹️.

We spent 4 nights at this guest house and greatly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very simple, but clean and keep in mind that the price is very good. The view from the balcony and terrace is just breathtaking! It is very quiet here except for the muezzin calls at 6am, 12pm, and 6pm that last 5min. What really made our stay unforgettable was the amazing service. The owner is the kindest and most helpful man you will meet! When my bf got sick during our stay, he changed the morning breakfast to something he would like more, offered to pick up medicine for him and asked about his well-being everyday. If you are missing something from the room or have a request, don't hesitate to ask! Munduk is a great place to experience the authentic Bali, to go trekking in the Jungle, see waterfalls, go water rafting and do canyoning. This also means that there are no tourist shops, no party night life, and "tourist restaurants"only Balinese food. Just be aware before you come here.

Very good experience, lovely and helpful staff! Special mention for the staff in the kitchen and service, who are generous and too kind!, we also rented a scooter and took taxis via the hotel, everything was perfect! I recommend without hesitation

While being centrally located in Munduk area this guesthouse is not necessarily close to the waterfalls. You’ll need to have a motorbike or car to go around and while Munduk waterfalls are relatively close by, others like Aling Aling and Gitgit are 1h away plus. The staff was super friendly but when coming back at night (around 10pm), we found the gate padlocked. On the day we left (around 5am) we’re offered tea/coffee and received a warm farewell. The room is clean and spacious with a cute balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast is yummy, pancakes with fruit and coffee/tea
