It was a beautiful experience. A steep staircase leeds you down to the bottom of the valley. It has little shops, restaurants and bars on its sides. For a nice rest on your way back up. A short way to walk and then you have a second staircase down into a gorge and the river! So you walk (and sort of climb a little) through the river ankle to knee deep. Bring water shoes or buy some at the little markets. Shortly before you climb down in the river, you can also rent some slippers. Expect to get soaking wet from the spray of the waterfall, so bring a bathing suit or cloths to change. Don't expect to be alone, as it is a well known tourist spot. There is a second waterfall and a small pool just a little downstream. (I had the feeling the waterfall, though natural, is a bit manmade, where the water falls over the edge. It is a very straight constructed line, as you can see from the top as you walk in the valley.)

Tukad Cepung Waterfall was absolutely mesmerizing! Hidden inside a cave-like canyon, this place feels like a magical escape straight into nature. The walk down through the steps is an experience in itself — a bit of a trek, but totally worth it. What makes this spot truly special is the way sunlight filters through the rocks, creating beautiful rays over the waterfall. It feels surreal, almost like a natural temple. The stairs and rocky path add a sense of adventure — you’ll literally find yourself stepping, exploring, and counting every moment as you go deeper. If you love nature, photography, or just peaceful hidden gems, this is a must-visit in Bali. Just wear good shoes as the path can be slippery. Overall, an unforgettable and breathtaking experience!

This waterfall, main one ending on a kind of cave, is not the most spectacular, but still niceto visit. There also is a smaller one and a water pool. The stairs down. and even more up, are a little challenging. Not too much, but songle steps in very different and partly big hight. From parking to the waterfalls you smal shops and restaurants. If you forgot to bring, there you can buy water resistant shoes, which you definitely need. To reach the waterfalls you have to walk through the small river between them. And you will become a little wet, even you stay away from the main fall. Be prepared.

Gorgeous waterfall! Entrance is 30,000 IDR. The climb down takes quite a while, but it's 100% worth it. The gorge is super unique—not something you see every day.

Skip the more mainstream waterfalls and visit this one instead, it’s absolutely worth it. It’s quite damp around the waterfall, so there’s really nowhere to safely keep your belongings. Definitely bring something waterproof to protect your phone or camera, as it was really difficult for us to take pictures and videos because everything kept getting covered in waterfall spray. Try going early in the morning to avoid the long queues of people waiting to take photos. We went early and were lucky enough to enjoy a few peaceful minutes there by ourselves, which made the experience even more special. Also, if you’re wearing long clothes or lighter colours, keep in mind you’ll definitely get drenched and probably a bit muddy too. And definitely grab a fresh juice or something to drink from one of the small cafés on the way to the waterfall. The lush green views around them make it such a relaxing stop before or after the hike.
