The owners are very nice people. English menu is available, very good value and the boss can speak in English. I recommend the grilled fish with a slightly spicy coconut peanut sauce. If you are a vegetarian, there are banana pancakes, fried mixed veggies, and gado gado (seasonal veggies salad with peanut coconut dressing). The store is not too visible, there are tables and chairs outside. If you don’t see the boss, you may try knocking on the door.

We ordered two grilled fishes with sambal (#13 in menu, 31500 rupias). The owner brought us also 2 plates of rice. I thought that I missed it in the dish description. But then it was told us that we must pay 17000 more for the rice. So be careful and pay attention to this. It is also not clean there and too many flies.

Like many places here blink and you miss it, well don't! We arrived on a warm afternoon and the crispy cold Bintang was a match in haven with the perfectly spiced sambal accompanying my nasi goreng. Don't expect much and enjoy it for the experience it presents you. A beautiful family, a local artist (art is available for purchase), and good food, all part of the journey.....
