We stopped here on our way from Munduk to Sideman. Located just beside the main road. Honestly, in my opinion there’s no point in coming here only. It’s ok to stop of you are on this way. The view is gorgeous with mount batur and the lake. But it is a bit disturbed with the concrete structures of the hotels and housing close by. No tickets. This is free to visit. Difficult to find a parking spot for vehicles. There were lot of locals also.

Fantastic n clean public space for the whole family. Visited last Sunday afternoon n was very impressed. The walking paths are smooth and well-kept, the playground n there are plenty of clean restrooms and working water fountains nearby. Parking was easy, and it is a wonderful spot to relax or exercise. Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking to enjoy the outdoors, enjoy! Kudos!! 💯👏🏻

Breathtaking panoramic scenery meets intense tourist pressure at Mount Batur View Point in Kintamani, Bali. If you want a stunning vantage point to capture both the majestic volcano and the tranquil lake in one frame, this destination delivers unforgettable views. However, navigating the visitor experience requires patience. The Scenery: The view is genuinely spectacular, offering a rare dual perspective of the active volcano and Lake Batur side by side. The Vendors: Prepare to deal with high-pressure sales tactics. Local sellers and street vendors can be extremely persistent, repeatedly approaching tourists to push overpriced merchandise, mountain tours, and lake boat rides. Bargaining Tips: Never accept the initial quoted price. Be prepared to aggressively bargain down to roughly 20% of their starting offer for souvenirs, transport, and local activities to avoid overpaying. Overall, the natural landscape is well worth seeing, but keep your guard up against inflated tourist pricing and relentless vendor pitches.

The Mount Batur View Point offers a stunning panoramic view of Mount Batur and the surrounding lake. It's a perfect stop if you want to admire one of Bali's most iconic landscapes without doing the actual hike. Unfortunately, it was raining when we visited, so the mountain was partially covered by clouds. Even so, the scenery was absolutely beautiful. The cool weather, misty atmosphere, and lush green surroundings created a peaceful and cozy vibe that made the visit memorable. On a clear day, the views must be even more spectacular, but even with the rain, we really enjoyed the experience. It's a great place to relax, take in the fresh mountain air, and capture some beautiful photos. If you're traveling through the Kintamani region, I highly recommend stopping here. Hopefully, you'll be lucky enough to catch Mount Batur on a clear day—but even if you don't, the atmosphere alone makes it worth the visit.

One of the best things i've done in Bali, maybe ever. Pickup was around 2am from our guesthouse, start hiking around 3:30, reach the summit just before sunrise. The trail is steep and dark and genuinely challenging but its completely doable if you're reasonably fit, just go at your own pace and take breaks. Our guide Putu was brilliant, patient, funny, kept the energy up the whole way and let us set the pace. At the top you can cook bananas in the volcanic steam vents which is such a cool little touch. The sunrise over Lake Batur and the caldera is absolutely breathtaking. Fair warning — sometimes clouds roll in right before sunrise so manage your expectations a bit, but even with cloud cover the atmosphere up there is incredible. Add the hot springs after for the perfect morning. Dont skip this one.
