Perched amidst the lush highlands of Bali, Batur Sari Restaurant offers an experience that is less about culinary excellence and more about unforgettable views and thrilling moments. If you’re someone who values atmosphere and scenic beauty over gourmet food, this place will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression. The standout feature of this restaurant is its stunning glass bridge, which quite literally elevates your dining experience—both physically and emotionally. Walking onto the transparent platform feels like stepping into the sky. With breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, forests, and distant hills, it creates that rare “top of the world” sensation that few places can truly deliver. It’s the kind of spot where you instinctively pause, take a deep breath, and soak in the beauty around you. For photography lovers, this is paradise—every angle offers a postcard-worthy shot. The ambiance is where Batur Sari Restaurant truly shines. The combination of nature, altitude, and thoughtfully designed viewpoints makes it a must-visit destination in Bali. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or your partner, the setting adds a special charm to the experience. It’s particularly magical during sunrise or late afternoon when the lighting enhances the already mesmerizing landscape. The gentle breeze, the greenery stretching endlessly, and the sense of calm make it a perfect place to unwind after exploring Bali’s more crowded attractions. However, when it comes to food, the experience is fairly average. The menu offers a decent variety of local and international dishes, but the taste and presentation don’t quite match the spectacular surroundings. The flavors are simple and satisfactory, but nothing particularly stands out or leaves a lasting impression. It’s one of those places where you don’t come primarily for the cuisine—you come for everything else. The food does its job, but it doesn’t elevate the experience the way the views do. Service is generally acceptable, though it can feel a bit slow during peak hours due to the popularity of the location. Given the number of visitors drawn by the glass bridge and scenic setting, a bit of waiting is understandable. The staff are polite and helpful, ensuring that your overall visit remains pleasant. In many ways, Batur Sari Restaurant is a perfect example of a destination where the environment takes center stage. The glass bridge alone makes it worth visiting, offering a unique and slightly adventurous twist to a regular dining outing. While the food might not be the highlight, the combination of views, ambiance, and that “wow” factor easily compensates for it. If you’re planning a trip to Bali, this is definitely a place to include in your itinerary—not for a culinary journey, but for an experience that makes you feel like you’re dining above the clouds.
View on GoogleA scenic place to be and have your lunch / early dinner —- basically when there is still sunlight to enjoy the view. It has scenic picture spots that are amazing. It’s a buffet food that has 2 options (125K+15%tax —- for local food buffet and 150K+ 15%tax —- for Indian veg food buffet). Food is just average, not many options to choose from and almost no sweet options other than fried bananas. Staff is very nice.
View on GoogleI tried both the local and Indian food here. The local dishes were quite good – flavorful and enjoyable. However, I was disappointed with the Indian food. The taste was not authentic, and the vegetables were not cooked properly. Even the bread had sugar in it, which is unusual and didn’t match traditional Indian flavors. Overall, I’d recommend sticking with the local cuisine
View on GoogleAvoid! Our driver recommended this place. The view is lovely but dont eat here. The buffet is disgusting cold food, all cheap products, rice and noodles. For rp 150k indian buffet horrible. After being told by the server we have the choice of indonesian or indian I walked over to indian to be rudely queried why I was there. I should have walked out then. The toilets are filthy! With all the staff standing around watching you, they could go clean something. This could be a great spot to stop if tidied up and cleaned- the glass viewing platform has old stickers and green crawling up the glass. Do better owners! We are paying our hard earned tourist dollar for a pleasant time!
View on GoogleThis stop was part of my tour. Food was just ok. It was buffet style. Typical noodle, steamed vegetables, rice, and skewers option. Nothing to say it was spectacular. The views make up for an spectacular experience.
