A Majestic Experience That Stole My Heart There are so many restaurants in Kintamani, but we chose Amora. Honestly, I am rarely impressed by scenery, but this place completely captivated me. The view was profoundly beautiful. The food was delicious, and the weather was absolutely perfect, unveiling the mountain in all its majestic glory. Sitting there, looking at the view, I felt entirely lost in its beauty. A timeless and perfect dining experience.
View on GoogleAmazing view, but absolutely not worth the price. We were originally supposed to visit Akasa but were moved to Amora due to full bookings. The view was beautiful, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The tables were not cleaned properly, our drinks arrived lukewarm, and the green tea latte was excessively sweet with no warning that it contained added sugar. Our mains arrived without cutlery, and we had to ask for it ourselves. My partner’s meal arrived nearly 30 minutes before mine, and both dishes were cold and bland. The most disappointing part was the service. After we declined an incorrect order, a staff member shouted “The Indians!” across the restaurant to identify our table. We are not Indian, but regardless, referring to guests by their nationality in front of everyone is highly unprofessional. The staff seemed inattentive throughout, and even getting the bill took far too long. Stunning view, but poor food and service made it the worst dining experience of our Bali trip.
View on GoogleCame for the morning views, which were quite good despite being a bit foggy. The Mie Goreng was decent but nothing special overall. It is a nice spot for the scenery, but the food is fairly average.
View on GoogleFood was ok taste wise. The view is not bad considering we're at the highest observation point. The only real problem was flies... everywhere buzzing around the food. Really worried about getting tummy ache after dining there. The restaurant should invest more in pest control to trap the flies. Or clean up the sources of these flies.
View on GoogleFood was okay. We asked for an extra chicken sausage each (thinking it was a normal sized sausage) and the waitress said that 1 serving came with 4 sausages. We thought that was plenty of food… the plate arrived and it was 4 mini sausages, not even big enough to create 1 sausage. They tasted good though. Sourdough bread needs some butter. More than 1 tiny slice of tomato would be nice. Potatoes were average, eggs were average too. We ordered two coffees and it took them forever to fulfill that order… We finished out breakfast and received a pastry dessert before getting our coffees. Table next to us got their drinks straight away before us despite ordering minutes after us. When I followed up about the drinks, waitress said “just wait a one minute”. Tbh I don’t think she was trying to be rude, just language barrier, but still… drink should be done first not last. Pastry wasn’t even remotely pistachio flavoured (like labelled). It was dyed green and tasted almost like runny icing sugar. Gross and unfinished building. Only nice thing is the view. Also, this is for both the staff and customers to take into consideration. If you want to have a photoshoot by the balcony, do it where you are sitting or wait for people to finish eating. Or at least be quick about it, instead of being a nuisance for 10 minutes+. It is incredibly rude and disrespectful having people 10cm away from you literally yelling at each other while you’re trying to have a nice breakfast. I get that it’s a nice view but maybe think of others instead of being so self-centred. Nobody wants strangers standing on them. Staff needs to enforce a no disturbance rule or take away some tables on the balcony to make room for those taking pictures.
