Honestly, expectation vs reality was quite disappointing. The place looks incredible on social media - their marketing is definitely better than the actual experience…😔 The view is beautiful and the breakfast was tasty, but the organization and service were very very very poor. We waited around 30 minutes just for tea, the food took forever as well, and they even mixed up our order. The staff seemed inattentive. Also, if you come for sunrise, dress MUCH warmer than you think!!!!! It was freezing with crazy wind! 🥶🥶🥶 Surprisingly, they had no blankets at all - i even offered to buy one, but there were none. While driving through Kintamani, we saw several other cafés that looked just as beautiful, if not better. I honestly regret choosing this one mainly because of the hype.. Beautiful photos? Yes. Worth waking up extremely early specifically for this place? For me, definitely not.

My friend brought me to Montana Del Cafe not just for the view, but specifically for the food—and it truly exceeded expectations. The kitchen serves remarkably unique dishes with complex, thoughtfully crafted flavors that you don't typically find at standard vista spots. Enjoying innovative food while overlooking the panoramic backdrop of Mount Batur and the caldera makes for an unforgettable stop in the area. Pro tip: If you are visiting during the day, make sure to bring your sunglasses, as the bright sun bouncing off the glass and open terrace can be intense!

We visited Montana Del Cafe for both sunset and sunrise, and it was absolutely beautiful. Nothing beats enjoying the stunning view of Mt. Batur at sunrise while sipping amazing specialty coffee. The interior of the café is also top-notch, with comfortable seating spread across two levels. My favorite dish was the mushroom toast with egg, and I loved it so much that I had to order it on both visits. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I can highly recommend this place and hope to come back one day.

This is such a lovely place with an incredible view of the volcano. The atmosphere is peaceful and beautiful, but what made my experience truly special was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. I was taking photos with a tripod, and one of the staff members even offered to help me. They were always ready to assist with a smile and made me feel very welcome throughout my visit. Their warmth and hospitality truly made my day. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great views, a wonderful atmosphere, and exceptional service😍
