We absolutely loved Happy Gen. Despite the huge variety of restaurants along the Jimbaran coastline, this was the place we kept choosing again and again. The place itself is simple — plastic chairs and no particular aesthetic to speak of. But the beach atmosphere and the planes taking off right overhead create such a unique energy that none of those details really matter. We had the best time there, simply enjoying the moment and not paying attention to anything else. The quality of the food and the overall experience made it stand out for us. My personal favorites were the oysters, the prawns with garlic sauce, and the sprout salad — everything was fresh and incredibly flavorful. We will definitely be coming back.

Our best meal in Bali, so happy we made the stop. So fresh, amazingly decent price, great atmosphere. Getting here was a bit difficult because it's a slightly different name on Grab, so I couldn't find it as a destination, I had to set the restaurant next door as the destination instead. If it's your first time, ordering can be quite confusing. They have all their live seafood on display in large containers, when you order you tell them which seafood you want, how many kilos, and what flavour (garlic butter, black pepper etc). Apparently you can book ahead for a table, recommended during peak hours. We went on a Monday night in Feb (off peak travel season) and it was still super busy, had no booking but luckily they could accommodate us.

Food - fresh seafood. Tasty food with local delights, absolutely beach front to enjoy the sunset. Service - fast service. Atmosphere - right on the beach. No loud music. You can enjoy the food with nice talks. I enjoyed the sunset view with flight landing at the same time. Even i can flights waiting to land. Superb experience

Super tasty seafood! 🦐🦀 Everything we tried was delicious—nothing missed. The prices are also quite cheaper compared to other seafood places I usually go to. Just a heads up, grilled dishes take a bit longer, but totally worth the wait. The place is accessible by motorbike, though the lighting is a bit dim. The view is really nice—you can see planes taking off and landing, plus the ocean. Great spot overall!

Great place for seafood lovers! They offer a wide variety of seafood, from lobster, crab, and shrimp to many different kinds of fish. The prices are very reasonable, and the owner was incredibly friendly and kind enough to give us a sea-view table even though we didn’t make a reservation in advance. Highly recommended!
