A legendary babi guling spot in Bali with flavors that remain consistently delicious every single time. We never get tired of eating here—in fact, it was our very first culinary stop straight from Ngurah Rai Airport! What we love: The taste is consistently top-notch and full of authentic flavor. Portion sizes are satisfying, and the sambal packs the perfect spicy punch. Comfortable dining experience with an air-conditioned room available on the second floor. We always leave completely satisfied. Whenever we are back in Bali, visiting Pak Malen is a non-negotiable ritual!

I was told this is one of the best places for babi guling, and it did not disappoint. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The satay had already sold out when we arrived, which was such a pity. We only had a small portion included in the set, and it was so good that I would recommend ordering it in advance. You order and pay first, then the staff will find you and deliver the food to your table. For takeaway, let them know so everything can be packed separately. There is seating both upstairs and downstairs—we chose upstairs because it felt more airy. Overall, everything was delicious and absolutely worth the stop.

A great place to enjoy authentic Balinese roasted pork without feeling overly fancy or overpriced. The taste is solid and satisfying, making it one of those “safe choice” places that almost everyone can enjoy. Considering the location around the premium Sunset Road area, the pricing is actually still quite reasonable and worth it for the overall experience. The babi guling itself has a balanced flavor. The seasoning is rich but not overwhelming, the meat texture is enjoyable, and the combination of crispy skin, rice, vegetables, and sambal works very well together. The spices feel complete and comforting, giving that classic local flavor that people usually look for when craving babi guling in Bali. One thing that surprised me was the genyol menu. It feels like a newer addition, but honestly it blends into the menu naturally and tastes better than expected. The texture and flavor are easy to enjoy even for people who may not usually order it. Nice to see they are trying to expand the menu while still keeping the overall taste profile consistent. The atmosphere is casual and easygoing, suitable for lunch with friends, family, or even a quick solo meal. Service is quite fast, and the dining area feels comfortable enough to sit and enjoy without rushing. Parking and accessibility around the area are also relatively convenient compared to some other popular food spots in Bali. Overall, this is the kind of babi guling restaurant that is easy to recommend to both locals and visitors. Good flavor, fair pricing, strategic location. Definitely worth coming back when craving comforting Balinese food around Sunset Road.

Epic Babi Guling!! Ask for the Nasi Special and if you like it hot get a good serve of the sambal cabe to really take the dish to the next level. Definitely worth the hype. The staff can be a little lax and if you’re a first timer no one tells you that it’s che in the menu and order directly at the cashier counter. Obviously helps with the massive turnover of dining customers. An absolute star dish with real (not tourist) levels of spice. Make it a stop on your next Seminyak run

你哋啲嘢食好出色! Awesome meals I had here! Babi guling was tender while the skin was crispy yet soft. The vegetables complemented the meal very well. I had an extra side order of their awesome satay babi and babi goreng (MUST eat with sambal matah). Beware: it can be VERY spicy 🔥
