We really enjoyed our dinner at Waroeng Bernadette. We were happy with the many vegan options on the menu. The vegan Rendang was absolutely amazing!! I also really like the Gado-Gado. There’s nice outside seating. But, if you prefer, you can also sit inside. There are many tables inside and outside. Our waitress Gita was very welcoming and helpful. Gita is a real asset to this restaurant. We will definitely be back again!

I had a nice dinner here on Monday night. The beef rendang was very tender and the portions were quite generous; the complimentary dadar gulung dessert was also a lovely touch. Our server, Kadek, was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The food and service were great, though the building itself could use a little bit of care; I noticed some damage on the ceiling and bathroom walls that would be worth looking into. Overall, a pleasant meal! Would definitely revisit 😊

On a hot, humid Friday night in Seminyak, when the air hangs thick with sweat, scooters and clove cigarettes, there’s something deeply comforting about stepping into Waroeng Bernadette. Not polished for Instagram. Not trying too hard. Just honest Indonesian food, served with warmth that feels like you’ve wandered into someone’s family home after a long day getting lost in Bali. The service? Spot on. Yoga and the wonderfully personable Aloh at front of house handled the room with effortless charm the kind of hospitality that can’t be taught in corporate seminars. Relaxed, genuine, attentive without hovering. The Lumpia Goreng landed first. Crisp spring rolls stuffed with bengkuang and chicken, disappearing almost instantly after my wife declared them “non negotiable” for future visits. The sauces sealed the deal sweet, savoury, addictive. Then came the Perkedel Jagung. Flash-fried corn fritters that shattered with crunch before turning soft and sweet inside. Paired with spicy sambal, they were the sort of thing that makes you abandon dignity, diets and common sense entirely. And then the heavyweight champion: the Beef Rendang. Twelve hours over two days. Coconut milk, spice, patience and love hammered into every fibre of beef until it surrendered completely. There’s a reason rendang is spoken about with near religious reverence. Bernadette’s version is no tourist shortcut it’s the real thing. Deep, rich, smoky and profoundly comforting❤️. The Opor Ayam brought balance delicate coconut curry, tender chicken, fragrant rice and crackers soaking up every last drop. Meanwhile the Sate Ayam arrived smoky, juicy and singing beneath peanut sauce and sweet soy. Then, just when you thought you were done, complimentary bite sized traditional pancakes appeared filled with grated coconut and paired with sugar dipping sauce. Tiny little acts of generosity that tell you everything about this place. In a town overflowing with trendy restaurants chasing the next food fad, Waroeng Bernadette quietly reminds you why authentic cooking still wins. 10/10❤️

We stumbled across Warung Bernadette while wandering around Bali because I was craving a really good rendang, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and easily one of the best meals I’ve had here. A special thank you to Kadek, who made our experience even better. She was so attentive, genuinely friendly, and incredibly accommodating throughout our visit. Her warm hospitality made us feel so welcome. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious food and wonderful service, I highly recommend Warung Bernadette. I’ll definitely be back during our stay.

Excellent food and super friendly and attentive staff. The place could be a bit lively though, especially in the evenings. I highly recommend their signature dish Beef Rendang, the most delicious one I've got in Bali so far. Impressive selection of dishes and beverages, my favorite restaurant in this area.
