We came early in the morning to enjoy the beach in Seminyak and were looking for a café that was already open. We stopped at Taris Bali, checked the menu, and decided to stay. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The staff member who approached us seemed unmotivated and didn’t greet or assist us. I had to ask if they were open, and when we decided to sit down, the waiter rather rudely said that we couldn’t sit unless we ordered food or drinks, which felt unnecessary, as of course we intended to order. We stayed, ordered drinks and food, and tried to enjoy the morning. However, the service remained poor. When we wanted to ask for the bill, the staff was sitting on the stairs and did not respond even after being called several times. There was no thank you, no smile, and no basic hospitality when we left. What made it worse was noticing a clear difference in treatment, when foreign guests passed by, they were greeted warmly with smiles, which we did not receive. Additionally, when it started drizzling, there was no initiative from the staff to help move our food and drinks to a covered area. We paid full price including tax and service, but the service itself was very disappointing. I hope this can be improved, as the location itself is nice.

If you're looking for Bali vibes this is the place to be. Farah was so attentive, friendly and helpful and making sure we had a cocktail on hand at any time. The live band was so good too!

I love this place. Always had a good experience here BUT unfortunately the service seems to be a bit off my last visit. As I arrived I told the waitress i would sit upstairs. Okay, after 5-10 minutes nobody came to give me a menu. I went down to see the staff just hanging out taking downstairs. I asked if they were planning to go upstairs, they said no sorry because it's busy. There were people but it definetly wasn't full. They told me to order downstairs. So okay fine I decided to sit downstairs to be able to call waitress easily. Not 10 minutes later a group of 5+ arrived and sat upstairs, the staff went to go up, give them a menu and check on them. So i felt a bit irritated. I had to go downstairs to call the waiters but the group didn't have to? As a restaurant you serve your costumers right and want to serve smoothly, without a hassle right? Then why this. Anyway the location is perfect and i love this place because any other time the service was great. If they just serve all the costumers regardless instead of the group size/where you sit my rating would imporve.

Great place to watch the sunset with a drink on Seminyak beach. The seating is comfy and the staff are very friendly. Drinks are very reasonably priced and there is live entertainment once the sun sets. Would definitely recommend!

Seminyak Beach is packed with venues that feature live bands at sunset, and this place is one of them. Like several reviewers have mentioned, the food won’t knock your socks off, but the relaxed atmosphere makes it worth a visit—especially if you’re here to soak in the sunset vibes. For first‑time visitors to Bali who come to Seminyak specifically for the sunset‑and‑live‑band combo, a quick tip: during high season many beachfront spots set a per‑person minimum spend, but that usually applies only if you want to lounge on the beanbags right on the sand. Opt for a table inside or at the bar, and you can often skip the minimum charge altogether. Here, the counter seats are high chairs facing the ocean—perfect for watching the sky change colors—and the music is played at a volume low enough to keep conversation easy. If you’re looking for laid‑back live music, a friendly atmosphere, and a no‑stress sunset view, this spot is an easy recommendation.
