I ordered the classic balinese fish soup. The soup base is packed with flavour, taste of the spice and heat is suitable for southeast Asia palette. Rice is cooked perfectly according to personal preference l, fluffy n chewy enough and not too moist. However, i get attracted by the signboard of “masterchef finalist” would make me expect more from it, the fish is sliced too thin thus overcooked easily, it taste good but the texture is dry and flaky I would give 7/10 if this is selling in random stall without the title
View on Googlestumbled across this place on the way to kuta beach when it rained heavily. we were supposed to go to a local warung but ended up here instead, and we do not regret it at all. i ordered the buttermilk balinese crispy fried chicken and it was just incredible! soo tender and full of flavour with just the right amount of everything. definitely get that when visiting. would recommend!
View on GoogleThis restaurant was recommended to us & given the heavy rain this afternoon we decided not to venture too far from our Hotel, luckily for us Mecure Hotel is directly opposite “SOUP CUP RESTAURANT” We were certainly not disappointed, the restaurant has only been open for three months & everything in the restaurant is new & shiney. The kitchen is open to the restaurant & you can see your dishes being cooked. We had the beef satay sticks with rice, calamari & fries as well as 3 bbq prawn dishes each were butterflied in the shell, topped with pineapple salsa, Balinese sauce& chimi churri sauce all extremely delicious. We rate the food 10/10 all the sauces were excellent, presentation was first rate & tastes fantastic. We also had the coconut shake which was icy cold & very refreshing, as well as icy cold Bintang beer. The staff are very friendly & helpful & we highly recommend this restaurant 10/10
View on GoogleThe collagen soup was really delicious and flavourful. The soup base itself deserves 5 stars. However I think there are some things that are lacking. Firstly the portions of the soup was really really really little.. when it was served to us, it looked like it was one portion divided into two.. The fish meat also tasted like its the frozen fish meat kind.. also we asked for one without veges but both came without veges and one with spring onions.. It is rather expensive for local standards also. One bowl of small soup costs 80,000inr.
View on GoogleThe soup was quite nice; a decent amount of boneless fish and large chopped veg was present, and the broth is top-notch! The shop separates service charges/taxes to display lower prices though, which is a practice I dislike in general, and even more so at more budget eateries like this.
