The Swell Bar and Restaurant on Jalan Poppies 2, is a spacious restaurant with high ceiling, big windows and airy. There's a variety of seating indoors, including bar stools at the bar and near the windows to look out, as well as tables laid outside by the street. The prices are really modest, both for the drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, as well as the food. The menu is designed towards Australian tastes and has a variety of red meat and steaks. Its a place that attracts regulars. There's a large LED TV that plays soccer matches the whole day through, giving this place the feel of a sports bar.

Good location - not too far from the beach, near lots of local shops. The service was decent and they have a good selection of Indonesian dishes as well as western at good prices. The mie goreng was good!

Had a couple cocktails and fries here. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the 2 for 1 happy hour cocktails tasted great. There was cricket, rugby, and tennis on the TV screens so if you're a sports fan this is a good spot. Nice airy, open atmosphere to the bar.
